Why do you all hate Gwen?

I have noticed that alot of people hate Gwen, my question is why? If you comlete her quest you get experince and a happy little healer. Though at the end of the quest you get an item with no use sure but she is pretty cool in my opinon.

For those who don't know the quest or how to complete it.

1. First off talk to here and get here flute which is broken and located at the pond with the skales you had to kill to get your first skills.

2. Talk to her and go to the nearest merchent and buy a flute for 4gp and give it to here.

3. Buy a cape from the merchent for 200gp not that bad. and Give here two Red Iris Flowers. Then she will give you a Shreded Tapitry which I have found no use for.

I still say Gwen is the Root of all Evil be it the Destruction of Ascalon, Orr or even the dark forces in Cantha I blame her. The reason was the beat down she put on everyone durring a chpter 1 bwe where she single handedly destroyed even the invincible in one fail swoop.

She is a spy for the Charr, pointing out weaknesses and flaws in Ascalons defences. It's also romoured she opened the North Gate for the Charr to breach us.

Seriously though,

I don't know anybody who hates Gwen, and I am sure nobody who has passed 'Pre sear' does hate her, so what makes you ask?

Really? Alotof people in-game said they hated her with passion, getting them stuck in invisisable walls.(the walls that keep oyu from going of cliffs or stop you in certain areas.) and just fallowin you.

Nobody hates her, but she is a popular person to theorize about

Because she killed us all at the end of the beta event :P

She stole the flowers I'd planned on giving someone else. I tried to keep them, but then she looked at me with those eyes, THOSE EYES, THOSE HORRIBLE EYES... scarred for life.

At the end of the guild wars beta event, she spawned in town and killed everyone with fire attacks.

I hate gwen cause i hate reading a story and not having the ending >.< what happens to gwen?!!??!

I dont think there is anyone who really does hate gwen, but i know that people hate it if someone starts to talk about gwen. Its like talking about the wheater, you can do it all the time and in the end you dont change nothing but to get the other person bothered.

All we know about gwen:

At the end of the preview weekend she spawned into towns and killed everybody using spontaneous combustion (deals -545 every second). (In that even she mentioned several things. She was mad because her parents got killed durning the searing and she says that you didnt save ascalon. Shes sad because everyone she loves dies and thats why she goes mad and burns towns down. Then she tops everything by saying "painful to live in fear, isnt it?")

We dont know her age but its sayd to be from 10-12. Her mother is sarah, a herbalist in ashord village. Her father was a warrior and he died when she was 7. She likes playing the flute and she likes flowers. She loves weddings. She is undecided if she wants to get to be a warrior or a mesmer. She likes devonas hair. She thinks bill the bull is mean. She wants to meet prince rurik. She likes apple pie. She likes adventures. She doesnt like bugs.

When you go into the underworld you will find gwens mother sarah, who has died in the searing. She is worried and asks other ghosts if they saw gwen.

If she likes you enough she will give you a tapestry shred. After the searing you can find gwens broken flute and a tattered girls cape. Those items are all quest items so there must be a quest or just a use for them wich hasnt been found out.

So far thats everything we know.

(cool info: one day someone posted on a forum that he had discovered the gwen quest. he gave a perfect explanation of the difficult process and sayd that it was rewarding to do it because gwen would open up a special area where you could farm 1000k worth of stuff in an hour. he explained that since its so difficult to ge there noone had discovered it yet. well, it turned out that it was the first of april and so it was a very very good april fools since 95% of the community believed it and i think a couple hundred people even tried to get the gwen quest.)

By the way: its total tabu to talk about gwen in any city, town or outpost. if you ask around people will not give long answers or will just try to avoid the conversation.
