Disappearing cap sigs?

I bought some signets of capture in bulk because I've been capturing a lot of skills, and sometimes take more than one. I had about 7, and when I logged in just now there is only 1 there. Does Guild Wars forget duplicate capture signets when you log out?

I've bought Cap sigs in bulk (5+) and have never noticed them ever disappear mysteriously after logout.

Maybe you just haven't been keeping track of your boss capping Check the Hero title menu [H] to check how many caps you have used recently.

I bought 108 cap sigs at once a couple weeks ago, not one of them disappeared, i had all i needed to get the 108 elites i was missing. Either it is a bug and you got screwed out of a few sigs, or youve forgotten just how many you had.

Actually, that happened to me a couple of weeks ago. I bought five, used
one and had none left the next time I went to equip one. Happened again
next time. Bought four, used one, had none.

I just started buying them one at a time.

I think I will do the same, because I am certain I didn't use them all. I checked my Skill Hunter status, and it had increased by 2, but I bought 7. It wasn't the first time I suspected it, but I really think it did happen this time and I wasn't mistaken.

Maybe there is a certain situation that causes it, like having a cap sig on your skill bar and having more than one in your skills list, but I don't have the money to investigate further.

For now I think I will do what Ram said and just buy them when I need them.

I finally figured out what's causing it. When I change my profession my Signets of Capture disappear.

I've been buying them one at a time ever since it happened
to me, which is a pain. Even though I've got all 180 capped
now, it's still good to know what causes it since Nightfall is
coming out soon.

I wonder how Tonepalu managed to buy 108 at once without
a problem then.... maybe I'd better try it myself to be sure.

Done did it. I had 15 cap sigs on my ranger. Just changed her secondary and now there is only 1 cap sig. I only hope that when and if I change her back to the original she gets them back.

There's definitely no reason that should be happening. You guys should report that to ANet as soon as possible. You should be able to get your signets back since there should be a way for them to verify you've bought x ammount of sigs of capture by looking at your current skill points, your total skill points gained, and the other skills you have unlocked.

Also could someone test out and see if you get your sigils back once you change your secondary back to what it was when you bought the sigils?

So ya, all those who had this happen to their accounts please send the bug report in. >.< Or else this bug will prolly end up screwing me over too sometime.

Bought 5 cap sigs, no matter what I change my secondary too, I still have 5 cap sigs.

I dunno why it would be happening to some and not others? I tested it out on a Prophecies character. Was yours a Factions? I dunno if that would possibly make any difference. Either way, I'd report it to Anet because that definitely shouldn't be happening. Especially if, once you switch back to the secondary you bought them with, they're still gone.

kinda like when i cant prof change because when i ascended it didnt even ascend me...VERY weird

And I thought I was going crazy. I have been buying cap sigs in multiples of 5 and sometimes I wouldn't have enough to make it to the next multiple of 5. I couldn't understand it. Thanks for this thread and the heads up. It will save me money as I pursue the upper level Skill Hunter titles. I'm up to 95 now.

I just went back to my Ranger today and she now has all her cap sigs back!!
And no I didn't change her back, maybe a short term thing, not sure.
Also, her secondary was changed on Factions side not Prophecies. I only say this as an added input to try and figure out what's going on.
I know for a fact she lost them as first thing I was going to do was go cap an elite for her new secondary and I always take two cap sigs, you never know what bosses you will run into along the way, but I coulds only take the one that was there.

Mine was a Prophecies character, changing secondary in Senji's. I dunno.

I do remember quite some time ago, maybe 3 months ago, I had about 10 cap sigs on my mo/me (Canthan char), switched to mo/e for more capping and all of my sigs "disappeared" (I didn't notice until a couple of days after the switch). I don't remember noticing whether they came back or not after I switched back to mo/me.

when I was capping as w/me I ran out of sigs and skill points so I stopped. I changed to w/mo for chest running and have been doing that this week. Just noticed I now have 3 cap sigs as a w/mo.

Weird

Once I bought 10 cap signs and they didn't disappear.....maybe your is a bug....well surely it is!
