i alwasy farm luxon chests. The drops may be perfect like i always get perfect archaic axes but people dont buy, so i end up giving them up in alliance chat to the first person that PM's me.

If there is a chest thats in middle of a oni spawn wait for all onis to spawn and start attacking you, this for me always drops something oni.


I do Luxon chests cause they are easy, i have done kurzick but didnt find it as efficient as Luxons. Shiverpeaks are also pretty easy.

Eternal Grove Explorable.
It is only accessable after you have done the Eternal Grove Mission.

it cant be explorable. it has to be the mission itself. note where he started from. the dots arent anywhere near the gate that lets you enter the explorable place from vasburg.

cheers for this, ill try it out when GW is running again.

for luxon chests, i run them in boreas explorable. pretty easy to get. just gotta know where to look for. get oni stuff every third run as well :P am doing it with 55 btw, fairly easy to handle most of it. theres only one chest thats a bit difficult to get, but it doesnt appear often anyways. get more gold than purple from there as well.

Well, there is no "1" best place i guess to chest run, its all random drops, but
1 place that gave me a bunch of good 1's was talus chute, outside of droks, got
my gold req.8 fellblade there, but also i found that solo chest runs are much worse drop wise than like with a team, even though a team isnt needed.Its hard to say, but persistance is key in not getting discouraged from the dang purps...

this was a very good spot before the whole chestfarm thing started, u used to get a shitload of gold drops there, some guildie said that apparently the drops quality got nerfed a while ago

Indeed the drop quality is shi*e there now. Used to get good golds there almost every run. Now only get merchant fodder.

agreed, Drops have gone down hill as has the amount of chests.

I used to farm the life out of the Jade Sea from Gala hatchery to Unwaking waters. I'm seeing less chests than before as well as less gold drops.

Got a nonmax req 13 set of gold daggers yesterday with no mods, I honestly cant belive the merchant even bought them, lol.

I have the Advanced Treasure Hunter title, and I did 3/4 of my chest popping outside of droks in witmans folly. I actually started from port sledge because you hook a right and run through all the azures. It's a decently easy run once you get the hang of it.

From those chests I've gotten Sup Vigor, a req 10 15^50 fellblade that I sold for 100k, some decent items i gave to friends.

Its not always great rewards, but it can be. I hear Brute swords drop from Shiv chests...but I have yet to see one.

the chests at lutgardis (melandrus hope?) seemed to be doing fine, not sure how its now

Yea thats the trouble i guess with new locations, the people who find them either a)dont tell anyone so they can get good drops for longer, or b) tell everyone and their mothers and they get nerfed before you hear about them, guess i gotta go exploring myslef

But yea ill try out Lutgardis like you suggested, might get lucky.

Eternal Grove - Plague/Luxon drops (and yes, drops took a hit)
Drazach Thicket (a group helps, but solo runnable) - Kurzick drops
Melandru's Hope (with group, while FF'ing is best)

Raisu Palace Explorable (Oni weapons, golden pheonix blades)

Gyala
Other luxon areas


Keep in mind I can run any of those with Me/W..

i picked up a req8 amber longbow, id'ed it to be a 15 in stance defense+5 and bleeding 33% longer, i would say that is a good drop, shorty thereafter i picked up a hale dragon staff of warding, perfect fortitude hct of dom spells, and hrt of dom spells both 20%, so dont say kur chests suck ass

well kur chests are pretty much the same as lux chests except jade/amber
and gothic and ... i dunno anyways

Kurzick chests are harder to farm and lux super easy.

I havent found a good place to farm kurzick ones tho =/ thicket only has i think 3 in the whole place and the easiest to solo i think.

A guildie of mine has gotten a nice gold shield from a Kurzick chest...didn't ask where though.

Gothic Shield (gold)
Armor: 16 (req 8 strength)
Health +29
Reduced Damage: -5 (20%)

He's getting 100k+ for it on GWG Auctions.
