Mysterious chamber: auction or...?

Yesterday I was running like a headless chicken in Kaineng Center. Somehow I moved down a stair straight south in the town. After a small corridor I came in front of a large fence with a mysterious chamber.



For me it looked like a lose end of the developer, an area removed? or an area comming up? When looking at the appearance I think it might be an upcoming merchant area (with all those crates and boxes).. maybe even the auction house??

What are your thoughts on it? Just estetics, just to start useless threads like this or something that is comming soon? Was the area present on release?

yes it was there at launch.
Reminds me of raiders of the lost ark, they had the ark of the covenant in a warehouse and it glowed a yellow light out of it like that to.

I say it's a treasure chamber :o

Noticed it around the launch as well when running around looking at places.

Storage area for the Xunlai storage chests?

Well you do get a quest to help a xunlai agent recover her stolen chest.

Although it's not stated anywhere that I'm aware of, there's really no mystery, here.

That's obviously the central storage area of the Canthan-based Xunlai company. It makes perfect sense that it would be in the capitol city of Cantha.

The glowing chest is obviously part of the secret magic they use to link all those chests around the world.

Consider it a little Easter egg. I think it's cool.

someone told me it was the phoenix trapped in there... you know the real one with flames and all ... and not the oversized peac0ck you get in the end of the game.

(they will not let me type in the real word so i had to replace it with a 0, thank you filters )

BTW they were just recycling some stuff because in the what I like to call "Pre-Searing" island of cantha there is a quest for the ritualists, i believe, where you have to kill all spirits that pop out of the trapped chests. If you look closely at the chests it is the same glowing chest that you see in Kaineng.

That Glowing chest is supposed to be an End game chest, but the dev's forgott where they put it, and lost the key to the Gate, it's full of super rare end game weapons, so we have to make do with some cheap greens insted.

The end game one is a real one, a Phoenix looks like that (not really, but how they are in mythology). "A bird in Egyptian mythology that lived in the desert for 500 years and then consumed itself by fire, later to rise renewed from its ashes." it starts as a bird, later consumes istelf with fire, dies and renews itself from the ashes.

Not sure about the chest, I would think it's the storage agents area, but with the auction houses coming who knows.

when you reach the highest treasure hunter title you get to open this 1 last chest that guarentees you get a gold crystalline 50-50 damage weapon with no req has +20% always which is unconditional and has every weapon upgrade in the game on it and it lets you add and remove the upgrades as you wish. O i may also mention it makes you move 25% faster?

PS: Dont ask who my source is, i will not tell you!

it holds all the original voice recordings for Faction's cinematics, they lost the key to the door and to the chest, so they had to release the game with horrible voice work like Danika and Shiro....

Let's shove aside everyone's opinions and just say it's the upcoming auction house. Btw,why isn't the Marketplace an auction house? That's misleading....

it is the warehouse for all those Xunlia agent boxes, the glowing one in the source box
