Maps folder has various levels of quality of the large, zoomed-in, hi-res map as well as two different resolutions of zoomed-out.
Livingston's thread has an entire summary of things that have been discussed here, and as such it should be your very first destination. Read through it in its entirety, as it has everything you'd ever want to ask or know how to do!
HOW TO BEST USE THE FULL-RES, ZOOMED-IN MAPS FROM ABOVE:Download one.
Open the image in the program of your choosing (I use IrfanView, it handles large images flawlessly and is free).
Open up Guild Wars in windowed mode (keep the image open too)
Open your minimap [default key is 'U'], and make it as large as possible (fill up the entire Guild Wars screen)
By using Alt-Tab or the like, swap between Guild Wars and your image viewer, adjusting what's in your minimap (click-drag) and/or the image, until they are exactly lined up (i.e. there is no longer any difference when you alt-tab back and forth). This may require you to resize my map, but IrfanView does that well too.
Once you have them perfectly lined up, rapidly switch back and forth (again using alt-tab or its equivalent) and note where the differences are (they should be easily discerned using this technique).
After noting where discrepancies are, move onto the next area. Drag your minimap to this new one, begin the lining up process again, and then repeat the rapid-switching back and forth.
Repeat until you've covered all of the explorable map.
Map all the spots you've found, and report back to me if you've found something I'm missing!
