well, anet has promised us to let us access to all tyrian continent including ascalon, northen shiverpeak, etc. This is a good news indeed. But however, they also said there might be no reward if we complete the missions in pre-LA. So, how do we get the 'protector of tyria' title if we cannot get the reward for all missions in tyria. Ok assuming if we complete the missions and bonuses in pre-LA and have the shield emblem with two swords (the sign that you have complete both mission and bonus in a particular mission), but without a proper reward like experience and skill points that we used to have, what is the point of accessing to those missions (in pre-LA) anyway?

[EDIT] Need to fix what I said...

This will allow for Canthan characters to get the Protector of Tyria title, which was previously barred from them. Same for a Tyrian in Cantha. Who cares about 1k XP? I can get double that making a suply run in under two minutes.

It's to allow for the titles only. Also opens up the map title (if pre is not counted).

And I would be willing to do them for the title(s) w/o the reward.

This was a request made by PvE completionists. The casual player won't care about pre-Kryta, but the more thorough completionist wants to complete every mission and clear the fog off all explorable areas.

The idea of giving access to early missions without the reward will work extremely well with the community. Completionists don't always care about the reward, they just want everything completed, and that's exactly what the solution allows. It also gives the casual player zero incentive to go back to Ascalon/Shing Jea and shoot fish in a barrel.

then i believe that it is the title system that they need to fix instead of letting ppl to access to pre-LA content from cantha..

And because some of the earlier missions are fun even if they're easy. Obliterating the invading Charr army north of the Great Wall is fun.

I can't belive Anet is going to be so stingy and stupid that they're not going to allow you to get *1* skill point from an easy mission, when every single quest in Cantha gives you 1 skill point and 3k+ xp, and every mission gives you 1-3 skill points. If I want to get skill points for any character, I bring them to cantha because you can easily get 30+ in a few days. Letting us get 1 skill point from the easy tyrian missions might even be a good thing because it will help out the new ppl just starting out in the game....it just doesnt make sense. "NO YOU CANT GET 1 SKILL POINT FROM AN EASY MISSION IN TYRIA, BUT YOU CAN GET 4 SKILL POINTS PER TOWN IN CANTHA ';..;'!!!"

Also by going to Tyria, it allow your characters to gain the exp and skill points needed in order for them to get all the elites and skills out there.

Jeez, I honestly don't care. I think its nice they are allowing the high level chars into those missions.

Since its such a measly amount of exp, why so worked up?

Because people just like to moan, whine, and complain about everything they can.

It's rather sad, actually. ArenaNet listens to our pleas. They give us access to the missions we need to complete our wonderful titles. But then, what's this? Someone complains about how they did it!

Just a little bit of wisdom for those of you who can't stand missing out on 1 measely skill point and 2k exp just for walking past some piles of Charr...

You can't always have everything you want!

Guild Wars is a game that is free to play after purchase of the serial key. If you don't like the fact that ArenaNet is doing what you asked and demanded they do, after they have already given us so very much... Then leave the game. Nobody is forcing you to stay.

baldurs gate is a game free to play after buying the serial, so is nwn, morrowind, oblivion and million other games, so really why bother making that point...

if you then state that gw is an mmorpg without a fee and that we should be happy for its existence, i would really wish to point you towards the item that gw is not an mmorpg but a corpg and if not for this free continued play, it would never have been so hyped... Not to mention that we shouldn't expect any less because we already had a reduced number of slots due to fuzzy math which explicitely stated that we would switch in 2 charslot for a 100% contentlevel... meaning all quests, rewards etc... attainable not being prohibited from doing x or y from its content..

Cry just a little bit louder please. By not getting those skillpoints / xp rewards you are out a total of 7 skill points and 14K XP (mission + bonus). The XP is seriously easy to earn in factions and the skill points are likewise, hell, my ranger who had ONE skill point upon coming to Cantha now has THIRTEEN, and I haven't even gotten to Tahnnakai with him yet.

I guess the old adage is definately true, you can't please everyone.

Yep. The point is that the titles can be achieved, you can farm charr hides or dinnk around in the mission if you want, or you can go help out newbies if you feel like it. I think ANet is doing a fine job on this point of providing the promised content without handing out a bunch of free skill points and xp.
