Faction bots are here already

Last couple of games at fort aspenwood on kurzick side our group of 8 noticed this assasin in our group who would constantly run around avoid aggro from enemy team, not attack, run amber , etc.. Well after 3 games of it and losing we get sent back to fort aspenwood. So I hold down Ctrl to look for this guy in the staging area and he's repeatedly zoning out the door and re-appearing in the same spot, then repeating the exact same path and re-appearing until an open game takes him. This procedure repeated itself in an identical fashion a minimum of 10x before a game sucked him in to leech some more faction. This guy was not just your typical leecher, his methods of avoiding aggro were pretty methodical, didnt reply to any remarks, comments made in chat, and I even went as far as pming the person and recieved no reply cause he was set offline.

If they already have bots for fort aspenwood who's to say they didnt make a bot to run the supplies for luxons, it would be alot simpler for a bot to run supplies then pvp I would think. Personally I don't frequent breaker hollow so I can't make any claims as to bots running supplies.

The game isn't even a month old and here we are with bots already farming faction, who's to say there isn't bots doing the same thing for the alliances holding outposts.

Are all of the alliance's faction hard earned or botted, that is the real question. I am not making the statement that this is a rampant problem ATM, because I have only witnessed 1 character doing it. If 1 person's doing it there definitely will be more soon.

This may not be the forum to post this in but since it is taking place in cantha and farming faction I thought everyone should know. Mods feel free to move it to proper forum if it doesn't belong here. IMO I feel it does.

Well there's the gold source for sweatshops, farm faction with array of bots 24/7, hold HzH and Cavalon and ask 10k to entry to the elite mission at international district

Or then they just merchant Jadeite and Amber, making them cost 100g each at the rare merchant.

Ever play diablo 2 Lod. Those bots could do ANYTHING, seriously. I wouldnt be impressed one bit if someone made a luxon supply quest bot.

Btw, it would be a lot better if we had enough nonrepetable quests to earn 10k factions points (to do the "befriend the Luxons" quest) (at least, for human players). I personnaly prefer a "kill this lvl 30 boss in his fortress with his hundreds of guards" for 1k factions points that the "take the supply and spam Sprint" to earn 40.

You don't need ranger secondary to do running supplies, I do it as a w/a.

To the OP: I know exactly who you speak of. I've taken screenshots of him (hit printscreen) while asking if he is afk in All chat and Team chat and/or monitored his pattern to show that there was no player at the control (else they would have responded in some way). I sent these screenshots to http://support.plaync.com

Click "Ask a Question" and send a detailed accounting of the experience including time, server, name of offender, location and their behavior. An attachment tab at the bottom of the page will allow you to include screenshots. You'd be surprised how many people are totally clueless about this avenue of proactive protection and complain in All chat after the game is over. They do nothing to help the situation, merely call upon other players to stop playing.

3rd party "bot" software is a violation of EULA and with evidence of such, people can be perma-banned from the game and have to buy it again to even play. Anet and NCSoft are that serious about it.

But they can't do anything if no one reports violators. We have to help them help us; its that simple. the more people who complain about one particular person, the better chances that Anet can build a case quickly and get rid of him.

If you don't like botters, report them.

I've seen the bots there, and I have seen them at basin. A lot of AFK'rs at the former as well, either lazy players, or bots, who knows. There is speculation that a certain guild is running faction bots, don't think I need to say whom, but the guild tag I've seen botting aspen matches. The whispers say that gw gold sort of went flat when the prices of fellblades literally, fell. Ch 1 is borderline deserted so the ebay farmers saw that the real gold was in elite mission items. Call it a wild stab in the dark, but I don't think it's too far from the truth. Whether its for that sort of turn over, or not. There is definitely some bot activity going on. And yes, reported.
