Duel Quest [aka kurzick faction farm at Brauer Academy] nerfed?

i just logged on, tryed once-twice, it seems to be changed, they seem to be quite harder than before, i dont remember them using res signet before, neither piling up together before the start of the duel.

or is it just me? if its true, amber would shoot up again a bit

Well, if they pile up, that'll make SS quite useful, hehe.

The only thing that seems different then before to me is that my Henchies die faster, the Dualist doesnt seem any harder to me.

They do rez now. Just take ranger secondary, put down eoe, frozen soil and trap em.

And now it is also bugged... cleared it, and got no reward. Cantha is THE bug dammit.

I did this quest 20+ times while getting my 15k Kurzick...never had a problem with bugs...about the only problems i had were with the Brauer and Durheim groups...AoE + multiple monks + overlapping wards = damn tough fight for me and my henchies...

yea it is nefed "Made various improvements and fixed bugs in the following quests: To the Rescue, Duel of the Houses, The Jade Arena, The Halcyon Job, To Tahnnakai Temple, and Urgoz's Warren." b4 the update i could do it easy with my ass and henchmen now its imposible :S

It seems that the quest doesn't update after we kill the team: Anyone else having trouble receiving the quest reward? Tried it around 10 times, and after killing the team, nothing happens: The quest giver just sits there, and when I talk to him he tells me to go and make the duel :P

After reports that they now Res, bunch up etc i had to check,

besides that i also got that bug, before update it whas way to easy(faction farming) good for 400Faction, now its gone way harder and you get nothing, damn right they messed it up

dang now a bug...i guess the price of amber is gonna jump again since supply will be scare again =(. ANET please fix this i want my armor.

tried it 3X and could not finish the quest....since the update
I went SS which makes quick work of them, but it does not recognize that you beat the other house group. Cannot progress this mission.

but at least i got to see my dragon!

Still really easy, just no reward. Ghey.

It really is shoddy programming (or testing, more to the point) to allow a fix to go in with a bug as obvious as no reward appearing.

Anyhoo, I completed my 15k Kurzick last night and thankfully so, I've just tried this quest and it's now notably harder than it was. Farming my 80 ambers I was in auto-pilot, the only tricky thing about it previously was the Durheim House spawning, in which case I'd just rezone. Now however, they're all a challenge. Good luck farming 80 amber on that...(note, I realise you can do it, but no-one will tell me it'll be as quick as before the changes).

btw for those of you who have do the quest since the update, are the chest drops still good =)

I also did it 4 times and got no reward. It was like the quest was not complete? hope this get fixed.

The quest gives its reward normally now (there was a new update which I assume was including this). It's not as easy to beat it, EoE bomb though is a good idea, although still it will never be as fast as before the update. Unless you can form a team of 2 trappers minimum. Anyway before any class could hench it, now it isn't so, however you can get the reward normally upon competion.
