Check Your Best Buy for CEs! 5-5-06

Hey,

I've had a lot of people send me messages to check their store for CE stock. Unfortunately, not only have I been busy, I've also lost/misplaced/and-or am unable to check those messages right now, as I'm posting from work.

Right now, my store has four CEs in transit. That is, they're on some truck somewhere, being moved around. So I've been told, they've been in transit since yesterday.

For those who want a copy from Best Buy, it might be a smart move to keep on the phones today and tomorrow, çause that's when it's probably going to arrive.

At the latest, Monday.

Great :-) How long is it between the time the shipment arrives in the store and the store shows online (when clicking the available for pickup link) as being in stock? I talked to a few Best Buys yesterday and they were Allocated and they said would probably change status at midnight (when they ship evidently).

I ordered my CE from Best Buy online. When I did so, I was given an expected arrival date of May 8. Okay, I could live with that. Ship date was for May 5. No problem. I've continued to check on this to make sure it didn't change.

Well, guess what? My ship date is now-----pending. And its been "Back-ordered". So I guess I'll be waiting until sometime in July to FINALLY get my CE. What really peeves me off is if its available in store, and I'm STILL waiting for mine to ship.

there's currently nothing at any of the stores in my area. And, I doubt they'll put any out if there's a back order on pre-orders. But then again, we all saw what happened with xbox 360's. I still havn't gotten any confirmation of shipping on my pre-order from best buy. *hopes to get a note from them today*

I've been doing a random scan of territories--and it seems -every- Best Buy store is receiving anywhere from two to eight copies of the CE.

The majority of stores still have their copies in transit. A minority (one or two stories out of the handful of territories I've scanned) actually have their copies IN STOCK.

Check in, folks. :O

I just spoke to someone on the phone at my local BB.

They informed me that the UPS truck would be arriving around 1-2 pm (CST) and, according to the computer, the CEs would be on it. They said if I called back by 3, they would be able to know for sure whether or not they had arrived.

So, I think it probably depends on your local BB's delivery time today. I suggest calling them and asking.

hmm... that's messed up cause the site says they're in. you can check and then use that as ammo when you talk to them.

i was in a store in germany(not best buy of anythign u know :P) and they had 4 copies of CE at april 28th...
but they wanted TWICE!! the money of a normal factions game...

that was for me(pupil) too much...

within the last 30 min 3 of the 6 stores near me got them in. looks like each store should have there stock of them.

Thanks for the tip on this. My local store got 4 copies today and one is now reserved in my name. Once I have it in hand I will happily cancel my online pre-order. I've learned my lesson!

Well the BB on N. Rock in Wichta KS had 4 CE's on the shelves.....now they have 1.

Best Buy Store #247 in Toledo, Ohio (5243 Airport Hwy / 419-385-8776) had three in-stock as of thirty minutes ago. Two are on the shelves, but the third I saw being put under a computer terminal by a clerk. Presumably, because somebody had just phoned to have it put on hold. This store had no t-shirts left, so if you live in the Toledo area you may want to try Store #243 (4505 Monroe St / 419-471-1411) first. Should such things be important to you, that store has lots of t-shirts left, but do they have Collector's Editions? Well, bestbuy.com says 'yes,' but call them to be sure.

(Now to cancel my bestbuy.com and gameplay.co.uk orders...)

I have a CE in my hot little hands! My preorder from EB was nowhere to be found and they had no idea when it would be in. Then I called CompUSA yesterday who swore they would have them on the shelves today at noon...so I dump my preorder...check in with CompUSA feeling confindent but noooooooo dice. They were super nice and said they would call if it came in as expected and that maybe it was on a shipment to come in later today...they said if it didn't they would have one shipped to my house by tomorrow - so I give them an A+ for customer service considering the circumstances.

I remembered catching a gimpse of this post and man am I glad- they had to go to the back room to get it but I had no problem waiting.

Hurraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! LOL

Verdict: Worth the wait.

CDs: They come in a slim DVD-style case. Does the standard edition?
Signature Dances: Neat. It elicits lots of stares and questions in-game.
Art Book: When I read it wasn't hardcover, like last year's, I grew concerned. But it's actually quite large and THICK. Very, very nice.
Soundtrack CD: Twenty tracks. It's missing the four bonus tracks that you get with the 320Kbit version from directsong.com, but those probably aren't heard in-game anyway. *
Bonus Music Key: Nine additional tracks. Thirty minutes more music.
Calendar: It's a mini-desk calendar with some nice screenshots. Nifty.
Map: Heh. They sorta had to bend it to get it into the box. Fairly good quality poster.
Mouse Pad/Sticker Set: As advertised. The pad is very slick. Maybe it'll improve my mouse-handling, and by extension, my monk's prowess.
Cloth Picture/Collectible Activation Card: Definitely Europe only. Oh well.
Kuunavang Mini-Pet: Can't wait!

The only negative: The lower right-corner of my manual was bent. But I can live with that.

congrats to ya'll. I just picked up two copies today also. one for me and one for my little bro. Then i got on the phone with bestbuy.com, and confirmed that they still didnt know when I would be getting my pre-order. I explained to them: The reason for a pre-order is to enshure that we will get a copy of the game when it's released. I continued to tell them that I just picked up my copy at one of their stores, so i know they have them in stock, and thought it wrong of them to stock the stores with the game, and not provide those with pre-orders their games. I got a pretty good apology, and was told they would consider it. *rolls eyes*. Afterwords i cancled my pre-order. Anyway again grats to all who got their game, and we'll see you in-game very soon.
