They can go back to Ascalon while exploring, without any problem: from LA, they go to North Kryta Province, Scoundrel's Mouth, Griffin's Mouth, Deldrimor Bowl, and then Beacon's Perch. From there, they can go to Ice Tooth Cave in Anvil Rock, then, Iron Horse Mine and Yak's Bend. And from there, straigth to Ascalon without any problem.

that's all fine and dandy, i've run my assassin to ascalon, but that doesn't change the fact that i still can't enter any of the MISSIONS before LA, which like the above poster said, means I can't get 100% of tyria either... gg.
