After you beat the game, you can craft the 15k Canthan armor.
For ranger it uses 400 scales and 40 fur squares including headgear, for monk it's 350 cloth and 35 damask (i think excluding headgear), each piece costs 15k, if someone can fill the rest in pls.
Also, as some other threads have covered, you can craft +5 energy weps for 10k each plus materials, and exchange the amulet of mists for a end game green item (each character can get this amulet once only)

Also are there any prerequisites for crossing over...ie must be ascended? Lastly can I get the name of the NPC in LA for crossing over, thank you in advance. No need to be Ascended to jump from Tyria to Cantha, and the quest for passage needs to be only once, after this you can move around by just clicking on the ship.
Tyrian quest starts from Firstwatch Sergio [Skills] in Lion's Arch, think the quest was named 'Mhenlo's Request'. Mhenlo's something in any case.

Great thread and would have been immensely helpful if I hadn't figured out most of it already.
I do have one question though, I've searched and not been able to find anything elsewhere on the forums so my bad if I'm posting in the wrong thread.
I'm part of a guild which at this moment consist of ... well, me. I've finsihed the game, got my 10k faction by questing etc and decided to split what I'd earned 50/50 between buying Jadeite and assigning to allegiance in Cavalon.
So far I've assigned 15k to allegiance, resulting from quite a bit of grind since I seem to spend a lot of time soloing with henches.
My problem basically is this....
The 15k I assigned seems to disappear for some unknown reason.
I first noticed this yesterday, and since I only so far have 1 character who's made it that far (my Tyrians are still working their way through it) thought perhaps it was because I'd originally accepted - but not done - quests which included a Kurzick faction reward. So, I abandoned those and shoved in another 5k taking my allegiance to just above 13k.
I then (and I admit the weakness) had to sleep.
When I logged on this morning my allegiance is down again to just over 11.5k!!!
So, forgive the lengthy explanation, my question is basically this...
Is it a bug? Is there a reason why my time is effectively being wasted?
I am overall relatively new to Guild Wars in general and one of the reasons for me being a solo guild is that my time has - in my eyes at least - been better spent in learning the game, exploring etc in both Tyria and Cantha than standing around recruiting, though after running through Factions it was obvious it was something I was going to have to do.
What woriries me is that if this isn't a bug I'm going to be dragged into an endless cycle of making new characters to get the faction or repeating supply line stuff etc. As for the 12 v 12 stuff for gaining faction, every attempt I've made so far has resulted in standing around in the outpost forever watching the countdown followed by the 'no opposing team has joined' message.
I realise that it's early days yet since the game has barely been live for a week but it strikes me that this is something that's going to hurt smaller guilds so if someone does have an answer I'd appreciate it. In all honesty if it isn't a bug I can see myself hanging on to the faction unspent or using it for jadelite instead, at least that way it and my time isn't wasted.

Doing the quests pretty much provides you with a good supply of faction points.
Alternate ways of obtaining them would be doing the Fort Aspenwood and Jade Quarry missions for whichever side you're aligned with.
Playing 12v12 alliance battles also nets you a nice amount of faction but i don't find that much fun after they changed it

How are you supposed to fill in the level gap between the monastery island and the mainland? I'm have a lvl 12 assassin that does fine on the monastery island and has beaten all the missions and quests needed to get to the mainland with little difficulty, but once I do go to the mainland the majority of the people are lvl 20 or close to it, and all the quests there are for characters who are lvl 20, or at least close to it. Any tips on how to make my character as strong as it needs to be to be able to complete and survive the mainland's quest?
Either go abck to the island and do all the other quest(those not needed to progress) and level up or grunt through it with henchies, no other real options here. If you've done all the quest on the island and you still can't take on the monsters on the mainland, go to the island, grab only one or no hench, and kill monsters in the higher level areas.

I'm not sure if this has been posted, but I haven't seen it anywhere... you can also obtain Amber from Amber weapons and Jadeite from Jade weapons. However, the chances of salvaging these materials from said weapons are pretty low. I've gone through a fair stack of the weapons and have only managed to salvage less than a handful of the materials.
Amber weapons are fairly common drops in the Echovald Forest and Jade weapons are dropped in the Jade Sea, just in case people didn't know.
