Can't remember who, but someone claimed they had farmed 80k xp to check it and there was no sign of the title yet.
2. My new Canthan ranger is a proud survivor (360k xp right now) and though I am playing more carefull then I would normally play I would never leave a party, ever. I'm not even keen on mapping out when I'm using henchies... I've encountered my share of near-party wipes but so far I've had only one occasion in which I was forced to map out (doing Seabed with henchies, they all died one by one and even my res sig couldn't save the day). I can see how this title might affect pugs and although I haven't had the misery of people 'zoning out' this is a potential threath indeed. How bad it is right now, I cannot tell. 3. Whether or not someone is showing his 'survivor' title is not a reliable source of info whether they will leave when the going gets though. The chicken-survivors can act just as every other pugger, not warn you about their aspiration to be a survivor and STILL leave you hanging. Creating a decent PUG is still better done through talking then through looking at titles. 4. Getting a survivor title is dead easy. If you do all the quests on Shing Jae you're already lvl 18. A couple of skill caps and a couple of quests later and you have the title. Getting to 'indomitable survivor' (580k xp) is something worth noting. Survivor is nothing really. 5. As a survivor I'm not keen on joining pugs. Not because I would map out but mainly because I wouldn't wanna be surprised by a bad monk myself. The healer henchies might not be very good, at least I know what they're capable off and more importantly: what they're not capable off. 6. Don't diss all survivors though. Surviving is not easy and requires you to pay attention all the time. If you're unable to pull properly, to manage your aggro, identify the right targets, keep an eye out on your monks and know just what your party can and cannot take you'll fail sooner or later, whether you map out or not. |
