Indeed, After looking forever, I too ended up going there.
I went from Zen Daijun out the north portal, ran past the crimson guys towards the beach... careful they have imagined burden.
There I got 2 pelts in a matter of 30 seconds. Right near that Island where the Rt Naga boss is.
Also, if you go this way and you make it past the crimson guys, there is a respawn poertal near the beach... makes it easier.

And to think, I found like 5 while looking for Naga Fangs, and just sold them to the merch. I hate that, now. That is not true...I took my Tyria born Ranger there, and farmed the lagoon. There is a way around... Got 9 pelts the first run!...The lagoon is the only place I found where the pelts drop.. Good hunting!

Did it with my Ranger. See on Vlad's map there's a green arrow near a warp point - you can get through there.

While you cannot get to that place from the city you can get their from the Seitung Harbor city. Which is accessable to the Tyrian Characters. You head NE out of the city to the zone line and then walk straight there.

HT Ingram, you probably had hides, not pelts, as they can be confusing, especially from memory.

Indeed, it's easiest to get these from the north eastern part of the island (there may be other spots, but probably not as good). Only the high level nagas drop them, yes.
On the first two days of release, they could quite easily be sold for 2k, but I was selling the 10 I "farmed" for only 1k (and had enough trouble as it was at that price, although others say 2k was easy for them - I'm just impatient).

Now of course, people probably won't be selling them for any more than 500 gold now because the secrect of how to get them is well known.

I could have posted this earlier, but I'm lazy, and I also don't come here often.

Yup current price is from 250 to 500gp depending on how bad the buyer wants them. No point in farming them.

Actually Krytan charachters can get the by going north out of the port and going thru the cave with the snowmen in it, gotta kill a few afflicted when you come out of cave then go orth to beach, boss for "Sentimental Treasures" almost always drops one, long walk but very doable

Yeah, I haven't looked in that northeastern part of Shing Jea yet for Naga Pelts, but I've taken my ele over the the western coastline to kill the low level Nagas for pelts. After many, many repeated tries, I haven't received a single Naga Pelt drop. I don't like buying quest items from farmers (bad memories from Piken Square and Althea's Ashes). I almost gave up and caved in. Nice to know they still drop somewhere.

That may be true, but what is stopping you from creating a Canthan char to go do that pelt farming for you? I certainly am going to take my new ele over there and get enough pelts for all my chars, beats having to buy just one for 2K!!!!!! Might even get enough for my buddies too! Saves them having to farm

fyi, naga pelts are extremely common .. but forget the cave on starter island and give a try at those on the west beach of the island (Kinya province) u can easily get a dozen pelts in a few minutes
