Will I be able to take my curent level 20s to Chanta, without the retail key, but just with the early access?

Gaile Gray said as much, so yes, there has been official word that you WILL be able to bring any Ascended Prophecies character over for the Head Start Event.

Beaten to it….

So for those of us who pre-ordered the CE, taking our level 20 Tyrian characters over to play during the preview day would be a good alternative to making new Canthan characters, then risk having them be deleted after the 10 day grace period.

But how do we take our characters back? Suppose we enter cantha with them during early access, then early access ends. And you haven't recieved your copy, because it was a delayed CE. Great, now what? Will we be unable to play on the GWP character taken to Cantha?

something is confusion, i keep reading on that link above, that we may be able to return to Tyria in the near future.

That's referring just to potential future chapters being set in Tyria.

I hope so, it would be awesome to have something set in that area west of the Crystal Desert (Kingdom of Orr, I think). Or perhaps the area north of Kryta and Ascalon, maybe where the Charr came from. I'll keep my hopes up, I really love Tyria - and Factions will have a difficult path ahead of living up to Prophecies. (Not that I doubt Factions at all )
