MERGED: Factions Collector's Edition Comments and Questions

I've lost interest now anyway. I don't really need a mousepad and a calendar. :\

Ok, just to give you guys(players) a heads-up...I bought my pre-order edition from EBGames(here in B.C.). I ask the salesperson about CE when it will be comming out. And he said that it was not in thier system, but a salesgirl over heard us and told the saleguy to look under Guild Factions. Because she has taken afew pre-orders for CE...well ask what...it was there on the system. All in all is that EBGames, have the normal version(GW:F) listed one way & CE a differnet way.

So next time, when or if you do go back to EBGames. Get the salesperson to look under Guild Factions.

Just keep this in mind

Guild Wars: Factions(normal) = Guild Wars Factions
Guild Wars: Factions CE = Guild Factions

I have been told by EB that it would be available in a couple of weeks.
They know about it its just not in the system yet.

What they do is that if you reserve the regular edition then they put a note on the account saying that you need the CE edition.

Have any Quebecers been able to get the preorder packages? All 4 Futureshops in my area and the 2 downtown Montreal Bestbuys are not stocking it at the moment. If I can't even get the preorder packages, don't even wanna bother with asking about the Collector's Edition.

If Gaile is reading this, has there been some sort of language translation problem delaying shipments to Quebec?

Are you sure the preorder package is included? That might be an option then, though I'd much prefer to buy from a brickandmortar store. It also costs $70!!

And the amazon version doesn't say anything about preorder package either. It says it will ship when it arrives.

I also went to EBgames, but they didn't have it either. I'll try another one, but I'm not that hopeful.

I was able to get 2 pre-order packages at the EB Games in Centenial Plaza on Blvd des Sources last Thursday. I was also able to get 2 copies for my Brother-in-law last Friday at the EB games in St Dorothy Laval on Autoroute 13. He called me saying that there were no more available in Sherbrooke.

The local Best Buy and Future Shops I asked in all say that it's an On-line purchase only.

Ah... thank you. I guess maybe I'll just wait for the stores near my area to stock them then. Laval and Sources are pretty far for me.

Just tried this in Prince George, BC. Called both EBGames. Had them look up Guild Wars Factions, Guild Factions, and Factions. No collector's edition in the system.

Friends, be patient....I'm sure that if you've ordered for the CE at EB...they'll get it to you....as for FS and BB....they're just idoits.....I've called several of them and I got the same answer...they haven't a clue...they can't do pre-orders on the game (even tho it's in their system)....or they aren't getting Pre-orders for that game....or they might get pre-orders when the game is released (yeah in April...<DUH>)

EB is the place to go as my bro, myself, and other friends got them from EB...(kinda helps to know people that worj there too...)

Was told that if you pre-ordered right away you were Guaranteed a pre-order kit...

EB that my bro pre-ordered from only got 8 kits in....and the one that I ordered from got 11 but had 17 people on the pre-order list.....

so just be patient.....eveything will work just fine......



just spoke to my buddy at EB and he said that the price that is in the system for GW:F is $65...which seems a little high for the 2nd chapter......but he said that he can add a note to your pre-order stating a CE is requested.....

No problems here. I have already put down full purchase price ($85 Canadian at a physical location of Electronics Boutique) for the Collector's Edition, received the pre-order box, simply waiting for the call to pick it up.
