The Scammer Who Lost

Hi Guys! This crackes me up so bad that I had to share it with you all.

I'm running elona's reach mission and bonus for a group and when I get to the ghost with the last crytal everyone pays but this one guy who claims that, "I am not a scammer!"

So I'm like fine... if that's true then give me your armor as collateral and you can pay me after the mission for the armor. He does so and then after the mission demands his armor or he'll report me for stealing it! In the end he later confessed to being a scammer, and said he didn't have the gold... I still have his armor! lol to bad there's not runes in them They're worthless other than the laugh I got out of watching him run around the town naked.

Always good to catch scammers in the act. If it was decent armor, you should salvage it and give him back the materials.

lmao hahaha, I love it, good job. I think I saw somebody in droks a while back that said he lost his armor and was begging people for money, lol, wonder if it was the same guy.

I love this idea! It was knight's armor... nah i'll be nice and give him a few weeks to come up with the 1K. Much longer and i'm going to want interest and payment for my wasted storage space. So how you you guys treat him? I didn't report him. I see that as a waste of ANet's time.

so he said give me your armour as compensation im like 15k barbed necro tattoos aint wortht tht so i gave him mogriffs staff and then exchanged it for money lol trust is the key if you look the part you can play it

Ahh...justice. Always good for a laugh If I ever start running people I'll keep this in mind. Be a great way to secure payment for the run at the start!

in my opinion, running is a type of scam...against the game itself

Anet has already officially commented that running is fine.

I'm wondering why he gave you the armor in the first place if he was trying to scam you...

Probably because he thought his threat of reporting me for "stealing" his armor would intimidate me enough to cough it back up. HA! ... i took lots of screen shots for proof.
