dimishing drops

yesterday I ran out of skill points on my warrior. SO to get some exp I got some scrolls and ran to the cave..After 18 runs I had a lot of skills and noticed something new.
OF course this is just a little run test but
1 4 golds gold chest.
2 1 old and gold chest.
3 No golds droped 1 purple off mob.
4 No golds 1 purple chest.
5 gold.
6 no golds 1 purple off mob.
7 1 gold 1 purple.
8 No golds.
9 No golds.
10 No golds.
11 1 purple.
12 No golds.
13 No golds.
14 1 purple chest.
15 No golds.
16 No golds.
17 No golds.
18 1 gold.

then I went 4 runs each way on trolls.
4 golds
1 gold

no gold

no gold

and that was one of the ones on first group..not sure which

so with a chr that had never been to the cave and yea last month I got superior vigor and absorb off ettins...long time no runs

so the anti farm seems like it kicks in REAL QUICK on my chr

I get that regularly. For example, I went back to FoW spider farming after 1 week of not playing the warrior, first drop was obsidian shard, then junk. This happens each and every time after taking a few days break from that place.

It was same with griffons.

I also regularly see first-timers in UW get ecto from the first mob.

My guess woiuld be that it's not the anti-farm code. It looks more like inactivity bonus. First time, or after a few days, you get a bonus drop when you enter an area.

Of course, it could be just some extremly random event, but it happens way too often to ignore.

I got two golds from The Wilds mission. wtf.

Fow does not seem to be diminishing as much for me.

I get about the same every run, hell the 8th one I did the first two drops were shards

FoW drops are fine for me. I had a few good runs yesterday, and averaged like 4-5 shards per run.

I got a gold idol from nightmare in uw and the same run a gold eternal shield from a smite + an ecto after not playing the game for about a week on my 2nd accnt and 55 didnt get anything except 1 gold eternal

yeah i have noticed this too, even when the griffon farm was good in augury rock (til stupid update ) i still only got like 1-2 golds per run and about 2-3 purp's, now i farm griffons right outside dunes mission in the crystal desert and still havent got any gold drops from griffons only chests now and most of them r purp chests, and when farming trolls outside droks i still havent got any golds beside's purps which r lame by the way, and uw i havent went in for a while kus we DONT HAVE FAVOR BEARLY ANYMORE, but idk i usually farm all of gates of kryta mission and them drakes in there usually give me some max mods but bearly any good gold drops

I've noticed this with ettins. It seems i profit the most if i do just one, MAYBE 2 runs a day. Also, I seem to have more luck with ettins outside of the luxon village, NOT FROM THE QUEST, but regular ettins. For example, the last 5 times when it was my first ettin run of the day, meaning in the last 5 days, i'd get at least 1 gold pauldron on the first run. Yesterday, on my first run, i got 6 purples and a gold pauldron. I think it's better, and more enjoyable, to simply do one run every few hours or one a day.

My question here is how long does the period of inactivity in that area has to be before you get back to 'full drop' potential. Does the time being logged off counts?

On my first ettin run EVER, I got a Sup Death and Sup Soul Reaping in my first five drops. Since then it's been slimmish picking in a lot of tries (one Sup Healing, one Major Vigor and nothing else except the occasional Minor I actually had use for).

And my first EVER drop in Kryta was one of the better things I ever got in Scoundrel's rise (a 9-17 fire wand I used for quite a while). Oh, I'm sure I got a few better things there -- but I also have two chars I took up at least a level and a half each farming mergoyles.

Im lucky if I see 1 ecto per UW smite run. Thats 1 ecto not 1 ecto per person. Been like this since the last patch.

I have been noticing that the ecto drops are becoming very scarce from the smites. They have been dropping only from the bulls and the dryders for me lately. I cant remember the last time I saw a smite drop an ecto for me or my parnter. I am begining to wonder if its even worth doing smite runs anymore.

5 FoW Spider runs yesterday gave 14 shards & 2 golden + 3 obsidian keys

in the book it says there are 3 golds per area like 10 purple and a random amount of blues teres a set number so u cant find like 12 gold items in 1 area

Sofa, i've noticed ectos are dropping less and less from the smites too. Guess its lucky i usually do the Terrorweb quest at the reaper too, usually end up getting a glob or 2 from that.

I also got 2 Shards in a row...sadly, my computer froze right when I was about to pick them up, and I was just starting to clear the mouth of the cave.
