Favorite Weapon for Looks?

My Mesmer's getting to that stage where he can actually start -omg- dying items. I'm using an IW build, and once I get ahold of my last two Droks' pieces, I'm going to be in the market for cool-looking weapons. Methinks a Chaos Axe's going to be niiiiice....

What's your favorite weapon or item, based -entirely- on looks?

Depends. Serpent axe maybe? Gotta remember, if you're running IW, the actual damage on the weapon doesn't matter. The +20% enchant mod is nice though.

Personally, IF I EVER bothered with IW (I'm a slow learner and don't know how to use illusion) I"d go for a long sword though, it suits my mesmer

I remember... the thread's not about IW, by the bye. Just weapons in general. IW was just an example.

Mursaat bows are awesome...

Dwarven Axe, Longsword... I *love* the blade on a crystalline sword, but the hilt looks like crap. I'd do backflips for a crytalline axe. And it sure would be cool if they would add more animations like on a fellblade.

I like Flamberges, they look sweet and they're not very common amongst sword wielders.

Best weapon in game though... Definitly the Willcrusher, the texturing and modeling on it is just amazing. Its so evil and sinister looking.

Not in any favorite order, just ones I like alot.

Swords: Crystaline, Fiery Dragon, Flamberge, Brute.
Axes: Tribal (Just got this today, the look is great), Chaos, Great/Double-Bladed.
Hammer: Twin, Righteous.
Bow: Shadow, Storm, Ivory.

...followed by fellblades and chaos axes.

I personally like the hand axe/white scythe. There's just something about my little bitty warrior girl carrying a huge pointy stick almost as big as she is.

Sword: Wingblade
Axe: Cleaver (Cantha Style)
Hammer: Mursaat
Bow: Shadow Bow
Wand: Air wand
Staff: Willcrusher

If you're in PVP any item like that is going to scream IW mesmer. Go for something nice and discreet.

If you're in pvp, wouldn't any weapon minus the short sword indicate IW? And personally, if you carry a short sword, are a mesmer, and have an enchant on you, I'm going to guess IW anyway, cause I'm smart and forget that the hod sword is around...

In that case, they should make a sword that looks exactly like a Wand or staff... That would be sweet.

I like my IDS because its useful(elemental dmg > warriors) and yes... animated.

I don't really have a favorite axe.

Rightious Maul. Or Twin Hammers... Or Mursaat Hammers. Hammers just look awesome.

Don't have a favorite staff or wand.. or offhand... or shield...

my favorites are probably rinblade and brute sword. They look pretty similar except that rinblade is smaller and has pommel on it. Shadowblade looks pretty cool to.

i'd personally wield an ogre-slaying knife on my IW if i had one. a small dark short blade befits the "stab in the back attitude" often exhibited by the noble aristocracy to which the mesmer supposedly belongs to.
