Nah, didn't even cross my mind. I thought it was hilarious when he started pming me, I was like "Wtf... O_o wow XD". Just the whole concept of someone actually getting to me online eludes me entirely and they're a good laugh.

So what? Have a tissue. It happens, get over it.
Superior is already the highest degree...utmost is just redundant fluff.

Psycore: you know what's sad? you got a discount for your honesty - mind you, you did well. But honesty shouldn't be a rare enough trait to be worthy of a reward.
That's what I find SAD.

Oh, and if it weren't that disgusting, the kid's language in the pic would've been funny. I'd have challenged him tho, get over here and shoot me - if you can find where I live, that is. Puah.

The most obvious is Counter Strike...6 years ago when it first came out it had a HUGE community of players that were looking to help eachother...learn new strats...and overall achieve a level of skill in a game for the FUN....then hacks came along and now it's a community filled with people looking for attention.

I nominate this statement for "Video Game Truth of the Year".

The good news is that, if the game is, as you say, Algren, "too easy", those people will drop off very quickly. They will go on to find other "easy" games to abuse for a short while before heading off to the next game.

As far as I'm concerned, that's a good thing. It will leave the game to the developers and to those of us who actually play the game for *gasps* fun.

Unfortunately, The people who drop off might still visit the forums and complain and make suggestions, and weaken the ideas of those who actually play.

the number of people that do things for the attention far outweighs the number of people that do things for the fun....there will be a constant flow of people simply looking for attention...attention is a great thing, in that it never get's old. If it's all they want, there is no reason to leave.

*sighs* Don't depress me. I like to think that it will get better over time. Perhaps the denizens of the forums and the loudest shouters in game are the true minority.

It sort of reminds me of RL politics: There are noisy, annoying people on both sides of the spectrum and they are the ones you hear about -constantly-. The reality is, though, that most of us are just "average Joes" and don't listen to or believe most of their drivel.

I am decidedly a glass half full kind of person.

Well the glass is only half full if it is filled to half way. It is only half empty if it is filled to the brim, then half of it is drunk/poured out/magically disappeared. I'm neither pessimistic or optimistic. I'm pedantic.

Uber is the ultimate, there's nothing better, so to say "uber superior" is just redundant fluff.

Perhaps GW Guru needs to open up an English 101 forum for those who'd like to study it and for those who love to teach it.

Here's my experience from last night. I was trying to sell my sigil in LA. I was asking for 48k (the trader was selling for 54k, so my price is ok). Some guy suddenly PMed me and offered me 50k even though I said 48k. Of course I jumped at the chance.

Open Trade window.
Put on Sigil.
Then he offered me 5p. (ie 5k gold)

At first I thought it was an honest mistake, so I informed him of the error. Then he kept insisting that it was 50k and not 5k which he offered. Simple enough, I just cancelled the trade window and told his sorry scammer @ss to get a life and stop scamming.

5min later while in a quest, he just kept whispering to me and harass me. Like "I'm coming over to your house." and other things like "I watch you everday through your window".

So this lucky guy became my first entry onto the ignore list. Some people just need a life don't you think?
