Is Gwen's Broken Flute a quest in post-searing?

If so, how do you start it....

From my experience, usually the first time i talk to her she gives me two choices from rememory they are:

Yes i will help you
Sorry not at the moment

After that just bring her the flute then hopefully you'll get it

I believe he's talking about the broken flute you can find by the Ascalon Ruins.

No, Gwen's Broken Flute is not a post-searing quests although the broken flute can be found in Old Ascalon for what appears to be no reason what so ever.

Thanks. I thought there would be some link to what happened to her when I saw the broken flute. Guess it's up to the imagination on that one.

I just found a red cape type thing in Kryta, looked alot like the tapestry shred that Gwen gives you. Just not as bright red.
Maybe it's Gwen's cape?
So.. we have a broken flute, and a red cape...

Gwen's Mother is named Sarah, what else do we know about Gwen?

Her parents are in the Underworld.

They are looking for their Daughter, Gwen.

Case solved.

Do we know that it's broken for a fact or is this just the general consensus?

may be broaken now, as in deliberately....like as in, a teaser.

fidnt the broaken flute, think of her...find the tattered cape, think of her and wonder....buy the first expansion and find...maybe her, maybe a whisper of her ghost, maybe even find her off doing something she shouldnt, considering she says so much she want to be a hero lol...

*wonders if she will meet an uber-ass baddie Gwen later on after the first expansion, and have to wave the items under her nose to make her remember*
think Seven of Nine, and then wonder about how she might end up ^^

Gwen is there just for the purpose of annoying the heck out of you wondering what she is for besides healing and learning little about henchman, and taking up your inventory with her three post-searing items (Cape, Broken Flute, and Tapestry).

I always just went to town and bought her another damn flute to shut her up...hehe

"There is a known issue with Gwen's Treasure quest." Well there must be a quest to do with Gwen then, cool, we just need to wait for Anet to fix it now.

wait.. i have the tattered red cape, and the broken flute. where do you find the tapestry.. a 3rd item eh..? i must collect it. ;p
maybe thats the point of it. people ant to collect them all!

You get the tapestry from gwen when you give her 5 red iris flowers

and you can carry that into post searing? dam.. i'm going to have to make a new char just to get the tapestry lol. it's sad, but it must get done.
