How does one get rid of pets?

My bad if this is a noob question, but its kinda buggin me

Go to a tamer

I think there's a guy outside of Ascalon who'll take your pet off your hands.

You can also just remove the animal taming skill from your skill list. Of course, your companion will then return when you put the skill back in your list.

you can either remove charm animal from ur skill list or give him 2 a tamer, but pets are quite helpful anyway
