Seriously, when people complete Abaddon's Mouth and Vizier Khilbron's "betrayal" is revealed, was even a single person fooled into thinking that this sinister necro guy with white-blue eyes was anything other than a bad guy?

And frankly I don't think it's too much of a stretch to believe that he was the lich. As soon as I met that creepy bastard I said "yup. he's the lich."

The white mantle were a bit tougher to peg as being good or bad, but the lich... errr.. Khilbron, geez.

One guy who I was partied with and met Khilbron for the first Time said "yup, he's satan himself. gotta be a bad guy."

Actually I thought something similar the first time I saw him in the Sanctum Cay mission. Traitor from the White Mantle, likes the undead..... Highly suspicious!

What are you talking about!? A nicer guy I have NEVER met. We hung out the whole trip to the Amnoon Oasis. We had a blast... shuffleboard, the climbing wall, drinking Pina Coladas on the Lido deck, and man can he play blackjack! I think the onboard casino was the most fun of all!

Actually, first time the shought struck me was after Gates of Kryta.
Pretty obvious.
Especially if you've read the lore manual.
Scepter of Orr.
A man that "accidentally" blows up Orr.
Well, I was only 100% sure when I saw the Vizier anyways.

when I first saw him and hadn't read the manuscript I didn't think he was a bad guy, but when I found out that the advisor to the King of Orr or whatever was the one who blew up the place, I immediately knew it was him.

I thought it was pretty obvious. I mean in GW everyone who looks bad is bad and everyone who looks good is good. Vizier looks bad....no question. He looks like the evil guy from Aladdin.

yeah i thought it was kinda lame that it was pretty obvious Khilbron was the lich . . . the lich in the game said he would get it soon. And Khilbron did get it soon enough. I hope the next expansion would make the "boss baddie" unexpected. I really hate it when it's obvious.

Lol! He does.

I was not surprised by him. Hablion surprised me. He seemed like a strong warrior in the cutscene, until he ran away from the undead in the swamp to be slain by the undead behind us.

I think the seer's people will come kill us all in the next chapter. They were merely waiting for the mursaat's defeat to move in on us themselves.

Yeah, my first thought during Sanctum Cay, when he calls up a bunch of undead to aide you was, "Err, our new ally commands the undead. Kryta has been suffering from a plague of undead. The undead really wanted the Scepter of Orr. Now we've just handed this guy the Scepter of Orr. Why do I feel uneasy about this?" lol

Yeah, it was a little werid alright. I remember the first time I finished the Riverside mission and saw the cut-scene where Saidra and Evennia tell you about their plan for the sceptre. I was just sitting there thinking "Ok, there's no way this is going to turn out well. He's gotta AT LEAST be in league with that lich guy."

Then I saw him in Sanctum Cay and couldn't believe I had no choice but to hand over the sceptre. I know my character hadn't seen the lich and so didn't have much reason to be suspicious but it was still annoying.

When I got to the cut scene the first time I had the scepter in my possession, and after it I was like, why didnt I have the option to keep this or not? I dont want to give it to this dude....

Then immediately after that I was like... I err, disagree philosophically with allying with the undead...

I didn't care if he was a lich or not so long as he got me away from the White Mantle.
I'm still stuck on the goddamn Thunderhead Keep mission! Every single time my party's healers are incapable of keeping Ironhammer alive AND making sure the whole party doesn't die.
I have come to the very observant conclusion that King Jalis Ironhammer and Prince Rurik are counterparts. Both charge into battle trusting everybody else to protect them because they're royalty, both talk too much, and both are sadly supposed to live throughout the mission. *glare*
I liked Jalis in the NORTHERN Shiverpeaks, he was just a cool-talking Maffia dwarf who stayed in his fortress and didn't bother me aside from talking too much. Now I'm ready to kill him myself.

Oh, and I knew Khilbron was evil. I mean, he talks the same way the Lich did, was obsessed with the undead while he was supposed to be advisor to the King of Orr - a nation which protected the HOLY CITY of Arah, and he wanted the Sceptre of Orr, which we had recently stolen from a lich who was extremely like him.

You know when you write a story everyone cant be traitors. First the white mantle and then Khilbron, just plain unthoughtfull.

Anyone stop to think the white mantle and mursatt are actually the good guys? Think about it they are trying the entire time to prevent the Lich from his goals and keep the doors of Komalie closed. Once the doors are opened the Lich can send his titan army in to destroy the world. So the people we have been fighting throuhg the last half of the game are the "good guys" The Lich totally used us all.

Exactly, but I think the attempt of killing all of those people just to make little "Seal Guards" was pretty stupid. They only had like 60 health

Well I don't think anybody will be now, considering the glaring spoilage in the title of this thread.
