Any thoughts on today's update?

We are suppose to get a update today but i have a feeling since its already way past noon we wont be getting one. Im sure they will say something like " Update is almost here next week for sure guys )

I hope they dont do that but im sure they will. even if they release it its only going to be a little pvp update that you get some runes in pvp..... wow that makes it worth it since you ALREADY HAVE ALL THE BEST ARMOR and probably 9/10 people have already unlocked most the runes.........

They need pve updates and FAST

they usually do it late at night and today is not over

Also it's roughly noon right now on the west coast. I'm fairly certain that they're on PST.

They usually post the update changes on Guild Wars.com after 5:00pm Central Time. I'm not sure when they implement them though.

I don't see why wanting to stick a sword through someone's belly or frying thier brain should be a great social barrier.

Didin't the last update come at like 9pm or something?

They better add some other stuff with this update too. Not just pvp . better add something surprising for pve. im getting sick of everything being devoted to pvp and pve getting left behind

WITHOUT PVE THERE IS NO PVP.

but without pvp there is pve FINE.

They are based in US, so i suspect 12noon is actually when they are just getting into the office, I usually find they update is done for when I get up on Thursday.

I hope they atleast add the tormentor 15k skin with the update.
And drop the "1 15k skin pr update" policy!

considering i am a PVErt only i dont see how that fits.

they announced what was in this weeks update for pvp and mentioned something for pve in the near future

give me 1000 new interesting quests and missions and i will be overjoyed

on the other hand what they are doing for pvp is not hurting me so why should i complain about it?

ROFLMAO - that's what PvP'ers were saying 5 weeks ago. All you can do now is complain : /

They already said it's going to be for PvP, and it will eliminate the "without PvE there is no PvP." They pretty much told you that last week.

Last update came pretty late in the day, and I'm oon US Central time.

wah, wah, wah, It's a good thing they don't have an 800 number you can call, because you along with 80% of this forum alone would be calling non stop about updates, suggestions, and rants! Lol.

Um, since when has 'everything' been devoted to PvP? This is the first major update addressing PvP concerns. Like it or not, PvP is the primary focus of the game. If they wanted PvE to be that focus, don't you think they'd have made it a bit longer?

PvP killing is mindless? Opponents in PvP are controlled by a living, thinking brain (well, most of the time, heh) and not a repetitive AI script. In PvE, an interrupter can pretty much gain tremendous ability to control and contain a mob they've fought several times, just by watching its skill chain. For example, in the Maguuma Jungle, I learned quickly that Fevered Devourers open with Deathly Chill, then use Enfeebling Blood, and thereby could Distracting shot them out of it every time without fail, saving my team from Weakness. Its not that simple against a human being.

Also, 9/10ths of PvP players do NOT have all their runes or skills unlocked. Ask veterans who have played hundreds of hours and not hit a single superior.

Intern, judging by most of your posts in various threads throughout this board, I think you may have bought the wrong game for your tastes. Guild Wars is very much not Everquest without a monthly fee. I'm sorry it hasn't met your expectations, but you can't force the game to be something other than what it is.

Or later. Guess it depends on your timezone, but I'm in US/Central and I thought it was even later than that. In any case, it's always been, AFAIK, outside of "normal business hours". I'd be really surprised to see something before 5pm Pacific (7 Central).

A friend of mine says he thought it came after midnight, but I suspect he was just spending too much time in missions and didn't notice the "new build available" message earlier... (EDIT: But if Stumpy's right about 10pm Pacific, my friend may indeed be right about that -- personally, I wasn't paying attention so I don't really know for sure.)
