What do do with a Lvl20 El/Mo?

My very first character, a Lvl20 El/Mo, is now hanging around in Hell's Precipice beacause I can't fand another group PUG. I made it to the big boss once, but we all died there after some time.

At first I always was skilled in Water Magic, Healing Prayers and some in Energy Storage. I only used healing skills + mist form to protect myself. And although I got a group thru the Ring of Fire as the only healer, in Abaddon's Mouth and Hell (and of course, the Fissure) I saw that no matter how much I was healing, I couldn't compete with a primary monk most of the time (although I can spam Heal party a lot more often because of energy storage).

Then I reskilled him for a little undead farming with 6 in Water + Energy, and like 10 in Healing and Smiting.
Now I use these skills, to get into a group of undead and slay them all quickly, although I need to recharge slowly after every group:

1. Balthazars Aura
2. Symbol of Wrath
3. Orison of Healing
4. Healing Touch
5. Healing Breeze
6. Zealots Fire
7. Retribution
8. Mist Form

But I don't think I will help groups much with that setup, as it is primary good at dealing damage fast to a few foes, and almost dieing the the attempt to kill them ^_^

So do you have any ideas/options for an El/Mo to go, that are competeive (spelling?) and fun to play? Maybe Protection and Earth, I dunno...

Any ideas would be appreciated!

When I see E/Mo...

There's 2 options

full dmg [smite + air = most dmg from character classes]
full protection [earth + prot. prayers = party that loves you]

Take a look at what you can get from those skill lines.
Since you said you can't heal nearly as good as a primary monk. Why bother? Reducing dmg is a lot easier and more energy efficient then healing it from my experience so going Earth defense with wards and Protection party shields will go a LOONG way for ya.

Smite + air causes the most dmg? Do you mean from E/Mo combo or from all characters?

speaking of air+smite, i'm tryin to figure out a current smite/air build for my e/mo. Any suggestions or builds anyone else is usin?

I havn't tried doing smite in conjuction with air.

Typical air spike build (lightning surge, lightning orb) + scourge healing on a self healing monk who doesn't watch the top-left of his screen ?
