Completely owned. Lost +5 Ene Insightful Staff Head

In a chest farming today, I picked up one of the most rarest items in GW.

A Gold Insightful Holy Staff. When I picked up the staff and unided it, I was like .

+5 Energy shinining brightly in my eyes.
So I picked up my exp. salvage kit, and prayed to dwayna for the staff head.

Well, Dwayna didn't like me at all and gave me 6 wood planks instead. OMFG.

I feel your pain, the same thing happened to me the other day. I did however manage to salvage a +15% longer enchantment wrapping and not wood.

Still atleast you can use it on your PvP character

you my friend have been bad... I would make straight for Temple of Ages to pray forgiveness or go alone to the Underworld to make penance

i am using my golden insightful +5 smitingstaff ever since i got it.... its not max dmg (sth-18 only) but i dont care cause it has this awesome head and 8% chance for faster casting speed and recharge time. right now i got a wrapping of fortitude on it, may change for good enchanting thou'.

anyhow: i know your pain... from release till it's got tweaked to auto-success i had a 90% loss with runes... almost every one i got turned out to be hides or cloth. (the 90% are not exaggerated... the first 16 salvage items turned into nothing... no.17 gave me the first rune)

worse is salvaging instead of id'ing (i do that once every monrh ^_^)

just tonight during a mission I got 2 golds (a superior ranger rune and a something-sword) and a purple (major vigor)...

pffft. I picked up a 6-20(ish) gold sword....Had a Pommel of Fortitude +30 HP and a Cruel Sword Hilt...ofcourse I salvage out the Hilt...who needs a +30HP Fortitude Pommel???

An +5 Insightful Staff Head isn't worth that much I sold one for 5K today... Hopefully that's not too bad.

Heh they are worth much more than 5k. You got totally ripped off.

Anyway younggun, I feel your pain. Step over to my auction that ends tonight and buy yourself the one I found.

Hey whaddya know that happened to me too yesterday, then about 20 minutes later I salvaged a perfect Hale staff head. Also got a 15-21 long sword with a perfect sundering hilt, so I forgot about the insightful head real quik.

Of course these days you'd be better off salvaging out that cloth than the rune most of the time. In fact I carry around a normal salvage kit just for that purpose. Funny how times have changed, eh?
