I agree, they need to check gvg matches and banish any guild that have exploited to rank up! I know for a fact zpgz is cheating because, at their rank is almsot impossible to find more than 2 fights for hour, and yesterday they won 13 fights in less than one hour, then today they won 10 and the day before they won 10 in 45 minutes. Is obvious they exploting and using another guild to rank up, i wish there was a way to check who fighted who. This just makes me wantto quit the game!

Its pretty easy to fix, just make all direct challenges unranked.
For a Rank 1600 guild defeating a newly created 1000 rank guild do you still get +3 or is it down to like +1? Does it eventually go to +0 for a win?
In chess (which is what this ranking system is like) it does reach the point where you would raise your ranking by 0 for defeating a significantly weaker opponent.
I guess this still doesn't prevent an exploiter (if they are at least above average) from running a new guild up to 15-3 or something for a 1250 ranking and then have the 1600 rank team pound on them a few times.
Looks like best solution is probably no ranked direct challenges if they want any sort of reality long term on the ladder, if not the ladder will turn into farming. To be #1 you'll just farm up a new guild to rank 1250, pound them a few times, wash/rinse/repeat. Your #1 guild will never fight a real match because that could cause a loss. Whoever spends the most time farming up mid-rank guilds to let their #1 rank guild defeat will hold the #1 spot on the ladder...ouch!

Why would this make you want to quit the game? I don't even know where the ranking for GvG is let alone worry about it.
Challenge them with your guild and get someone that speaks Korean to post on one of their web sites how you want a direct challenge. Then you can beat them and show who's really number one.
I can't think that being number one on a web page is as fun as beating up on everyone consistently.

What's up with the guild "War Machine Pride"?
They moved to the top with a 54-4 record by bogus challenges. Then they stopped playing with that guild name. Too much bs's with guild wars ladder system. Anet should remove ranking from inactive guilds. They should also lower the rank of guilds if they don't have at least 5 matches against guilds of similar ranks, weekly.

From today's ladder:
222 (-) Zpzg Guild ZPZG 1227 13 1
Biggest jump I've seen:
88 (+878) Promise Guild PG 1321 24 6
It would be cool if guildwarsguru.com archived the ladders, they can't take that much space to store? Maybe they are archived and we just can't see? Perhaps down the road some sort of line graph interface would be cool too, click a check box by some guilds and it'll chart their rank in a line over the course of time.
I'm just glad we got to see 3 full player teams yesterday and got in one real good back and forth fun match. Despite the flaws of the ladder GvG is still a blast. The real difference for me over HoH is with GvG unless you really get mowed by the enemy you have time to adapt battle plans to see if you can turn the tide of the war around to favor you.
