Excellent protector monk build?

I have decided to make my monk into a protection master now that I travel with bigger parties. It's a Monk/Elementalist. What should my attributes be for some insane protection without being only able to support other players and not myself? Thanks.

You need Elite's to be a great protector. Up to you on skill set up as personal preference comes into play to some degree.

As always attributes as high as possible but limited to three skills for the monk. No smiting.

And the builds for this are limited to your imagination with the spell set. Play with it and see what fits into your game style.

hmmm ... various builds come to mind here ... for attributes say ... protection, divine, and earth may work for ya ...

I like that idea of throwing out wards and protection I have a healing monk and have been fighting the urge to respec into protection myself

I've got an El/Mo I've been playing all day as a Protector. I'll give you my build, though you'll have to play with it some, since the classes are flipped. He's just about to start the Ascention and is about 500 XP short of level 20.

Protection Prayers: 10
Earth Magic: 7

Shielding Hands
Protective Spirit
Reversal of Fortune
Aegis
Ward vs. Melee
Pacifism
Mend Ailment
