Just listing some of the sillys I see daily on GW.

- People auctioning collector items using the word GODLY! and saying they have a c/o 20k! on it.

- When you play PvP and one of the people from the losing team says..
Noob! Fag... and so on.

- Somebody sitting in a town/pvp arena saying So and So LFG! No stupid people please! Like somebody is going to say... I'll invite you in a sec maybe.. going to take an online IQ test real fast.. wish me luck.

- Somebody always talks to the ghost first thing in uw/fow...LOL

- Big one! In pub pvp...once, twice, 4 times a day or so, as soon as a person dies they leave. Yea rez doesnt exsist.

- On a mission with others the only person that lives doesnt have rez up.

Kind of a rant but kinda not. more a big laugh at the D2 wave of people coming in.

I agree about the d2 wave- more and more people like that ingame aint good.. I'm actually quite scared of the ingame bull that they bring so I'm just gonna focus on my own thing from now on.

Totally agree.

My ISP has been/is doing maintenance accross the UK. I joined a galrath team earlier and within seconds of the mission starting, someone dropped out.

I didn't need to do galrath but just wanted something to do.

I started getting really bad lag right from the word go. Like when you run for a while, freeze and end up miles behind or when you start a fight, come back round and the fight is over, lol.

Anyway, the monk dropped out after another short distance but even i managed to try my best for the team.

I even killed some mobs while trying to catch up between lag spikes.

Eventually, but God only knows how, i managed to make it to the wizards tower but by that time, the whole team was dead or had left. Only a warrior and a necro were still connected (but dead).
If it wasn't for some minotaurs that had pursued and came to rest on the approach to galrath, i would have been able to fight him.
Unfortunately, as i ran past the minotaurs, i lagged again and after a pause, i saw a massive fountain of health deductions shoot from my chracter while instantaneously falling in glory.
At least i tried....unlike the faithless departed.

I whispered the team leader (whose stayed until i fell) to explain why i was getting lag and that i was sorry. He was real cool about it.

Bit arrogant. If I'd been leader of a team to go to uw/fow first time, I wouldn't know not to talk to the ghost first.

People are so silly. I was in LA and spammed in trade that I was buying a bow grip of fortitude with more a certain amount of hp. Well one guy sent me a tell for a 29 hp one, and I was like yay great how much. Jaw dropped when he said 60k, and I laughed. I went to another district and got a 25 hp one for 1.5k Like the 4 more hp was worth the extra 58.5k.

what i think is funny are people who talk down on collectors items.
One guy i know paid 100k and 5 sup vigors for
Vampiric shortbow of fortitude
15-28
+15 >50 health
5 life steal
-1 life regen
+30 health

I got
Vampiric ascolon bow of fortitude
15-28
+15 >50 health
5 life steal
-1 life regen
+30 health
for about 80k that was just for string and grip got em befor inflation.

He gets of 1 more shot off per 10 secs woopity do. so

Man I wish I were l33t like him

Actually not arrogant at all considering that by that point in the game, you should know better than to just arbitrarily talk to npc's/perform mission actions without knowing what happens first.

I once lost D'alessio seaboard bonus because some idiot talked to both npc's while we were delivering the bowl. My low-level group almost died last night while doing the gates of Kryta. I was leading a a group to do the bonus, when we got to the chest with the tome, I stop to type to everyone that phantoms would attack once the chest was open. Of course, the group warrior just keeps running and opens the chest, while I'm typing and everyone else is still running to catch up. There are plenty of examples in storyline missions where it's best to do other things before talking to NPC's in order to advance in a mission. In many cases, you'll lose the bonus.

Bottom line, if you're not familiar to a mission, you have no business taking the lead and talking to an NPC just because you're sprint got you there first.

Talking to NPCs is expecially dangerous in FoW or UW as they make hard enemies spawn.

How did the first person who did it find out what to do. Oh, they learned by their mistakes. If no-one knows not to do it, why should they be blamed.
Someone saying "Don't speak to the npc" then someone does, fair enough.

The attitude of the orional post sounded like those people who laugh at every mistake you make and call you a noob.

If noone knows how to do it, then all the more reason to be more cautious before talking to npc's. You're not mentioning that the original poster was talking about something that happened in the underworld missions. Seriously, by the time you make it to the underworld, you've gotta know better than to just run up to npc's and start flapping away. If you play pugs, by the time you get to the underworld, you've most likely had about a half-dozen mission messed up by people who just run in and talk to npc's. The problem is, that usually you don't even have enough time to type...."don't talk to the npc" before somebody inevitably does.

Seriously, I hear where you're coming from. Noone like condescending jerks. I just think that this isn't a case of condescension, it's more of a case of frustratration that usually begins somewhere around Nolani Academy.

Well, I didn't know it. If I'd gone there with others who didn't know or by myself I would have clicked him.

I guess my lack of psychic knowledge makes me laughable.

Before the mission starts and hopefully everyone is not AFK this is plausible, but once you enter UW the first thing you see is an npc 5 feet away with a glowing exclamation point over its head, and its nie impossible to blurt out dont touch it before (not all the time) someone runs over to chat.

One could just as easily say... "Would it be THAT hard to NOT talk to the NPC and at least wait for someone in the party to instruct what to do, or at least discuss whether or not other parts of the area can be cleaned?"

I mean c'mon.....the problem here isn't people saying that you stink because you messed up a mission....the problem is just the "messing up the mission" part. Too many people do it. And if you're at the Underworld....you've seen it...over and over.

so don't take it personally after someone spends an hour of their time trying to complete a bonus mission, and they get frustrated with you because YOU messed it all up with ONE click on an NPC. Bravo....really I applaud you.

And I'll even add to it. I didn't know that my 1 plat donation to Grenth would take me to the Underworld, and I went alone.

When I first got to the Temple, I did the same thing with Balthazar and got sent to the FoW alone. I didn't know that tithing your god would send you to Hell.
