Drag & Drop Item Details in Chat

The name says it all. It is difficult to get people to dish out the details on the items that they sell. This has been successfully implimented into other mmo games and I don't see why it wouldn't work for GW too.

I don't care if we have to click on the name of the item within the chat box to see the details in full or not. What would be handy is if the items, clicky style or in full detail, would only appear in the trade or whisper channels. This will further help cut down trade spamming in normal chat channels.

It may also be handy if guilds had the option to let items appear in guild chat too. But anyway, I understand that this isn't a priority, but it is something I'm sure we could all appreciate.

Another thing I'd like is "a pick up nearest item" key. One key; no moving the camera. Of course there would be a limit on how far away that item could be and it could work for items that are assigned to your character.

I agree. It was one of the better parts about WoW. Ctrl-Click on an item should put it into your chat box.

I totally agree to you.
Ive played AO for a while as well and i miss the Feature to drop Items in the Chat Bar very much.

It always takes forever to list extras on a Item.
And you would know that the person actually has the Item they are talking about and dont just try to fool around

EQ has this too and it makes things much easier...

DAoC also has this and there are others, I just can't remember them right now.

Agreed. This would be a huge improvement over typing the specs out by hand all the time. It may also bring with it a sense of uniformity to the trade channel, making it easier to read through all of the messages.

May I also suggest having separate buy and sell channels. All trade lumped into one channel is a spamfest.

But if you are selling and someone else is buying doesn't that make it a buy and sell channel anyway?
