Is a pen4 3.0 gig radeonX700 1 gig of ram adequit for gaming this is my first pc so any help would appreciated also i dont want athlon i have a pentium asus board with 4 fans, thanks

i had a p4 640 series 3.2 ghz processor with hyper threading, x700pro and it STILL had lag and split screen problems, i'm not sure if it's all pentiums that suck or if it was just a bad processor, i had to send it back, i'm sticking with amd all the way.

More than adequate. You should be able to run it with all graphics options maxed at a reasonable resolution.

AMD64 would be better though.

Loaded sentence. I personally prefer AMD but I wouldn't say any particular company is better over all for gaming, it all depends on the product and the price.
