can you infuse armor that you're not wearing? ie, somebody elses?

well... title sort of says it... if you had assburrows of money and took somebody's presearing armor, could you infuse it then return it to them?

No. All armor is customized for the wearer. So my armor wouldn't fit you, etc. Also, why would you want to? Aside from saving your ass against spectral agony, it does nothing helpful.

Infusion dosen't appear to actually change anything about the way your armor looks, it simply adds the "Infused" trait to the armor's description. As pointed out, all this is is protection against a particularly damaging high level ememy encountered later in the game. So, it's really of no use, visual or otherwise, to anyone who isn't as least Ascended already.

infusion only gives you extra protection from Mursaats. enemies that appear in the latter part of the game. appearance of armor will not change.

To clarify, the reason that this reason is relevant is because you can only infuse armor that you are actually wearing. Even if you have extra pieces that are customized for yourself in your inventory, you won't be given the option to infuse them.
