What are the exact differences between the bow types?

*Since there was no specific ranger forum I just posted this my first post here so I hope its not the wrong place*

Anyways, I have been having a hard time finding out which bow does what? I know that there are:

Longbows
Hornbows
Shortbows
Shadowbows
Half-Moon bows
Flatbows
etc. (there are a couple more)

Now I am wondering, which has the fastest rate of fire and what are the trajectories and ranges of the different bows? I know that longbows has a long range and slow reload time, but I have no idea which bow is the fastest etc.

Please help me out

There's a full list on this site, but I can't find the page for the life of me...

While we're at it - whats the max damage bow you can find? My best is 15-28, is it worth putting grips etc on it?

oh, another one...
If I have 10 marksmanship and a bow has a req of 11 - if I put a grip on it that gives +1 marksmanship will I be able to wield the bow?

I like the Longbow for its range. A Ranger's best dealing high amounts of damage from a distance, and a Longbow is the ultimate way of doing that. I assume that 'flight time' relates to hit chance?

No. Flight time refers to how long it takes the projectile to reach the target. I dunno from what range though, probably the maximum.

Flatbows are my favorite: they shoot as long as a bow and are the quickest to reload.

Max Damage is 15-28; grips can be put on any bow, you just need to decide if it's worth it or if it is better than the bow's current grip if it has one.

You can wield a bow regardless of requirements. However, you will not do anywhere near the damage you should be doing with the bow if you do not meet the reqs. As far as that grip with Marksmanship - those grips give you a % chance of being treated as having a +1 to Marksmanship everytime you use a skill (or maybe just bow attack skills, don't recall). So if the percent is 10%, 1 in 10 times that you use a bow attack skill, you will notice you do some nice damage, because for that one shot you meet the reqs.

I know that, but i was just wondering if there was any advantage to having a bow with a faster projectile speed.

The faster the projectile, the less chances you will miss a target because the target is moving, and the easier it is to interrupt a target's skill/spell.

OK, thanks. I thought as much, but I wasn't sure. I only just got an interruption skill too, so I'll try that out at some point...
