Anyway has part of my goal of even playing field.
This is a lil trick I'm sure some ranger heavy guilds have known for a long time
Double pump:
When using your ranger normal shots, you will see the animations going on.. aka, pick up arrow, place in bow, fire. Now if you use Power shot during the place in bow period, you whole animation will reset to beginning to cast power shot. So basically if you would instead, let the bow fire normally then cast power shot. You will have a higher dps. So it is important to time shots with the natural rythm of your characters firing. You dont want to interrupt yourself to cast power shot. You want to let the arrow fire, then cast it, or simply cast it at the beginning of the animation.
This is why some guilds have really good ranger DPS (top guilds)
The more you know.
(btw I know what its like when some top guild knows some little trick that makes them better, it sucks.)
knowledge is power
Here is a timeline:
Normal shot, Normal Shot, Power Shot, Hunter Shot, Read the wind.
Now...
the times for these skills will change based on your rythm.
Good rythm..
(hypothetical times)
Normal shot (.75s), Normal Shot(.75s) Power Shot(.75s), Hunter Shot(.75s), Read the wind.
Bad rythm
Normal shot (.75s), Normal Shot(.75s), power shot (1.25s) , hunter shot (1.25s), Read the wind.
this bad rythm is caused by.
Normal shot starting.. 1/2 through animation using power shot.
So practice using shots before normal shot animation for max dps.
B

) from a shot far enough away that my own team doesn't know where I am (not quite sniping)...without the ignite arrows, drop the second set of numbers from the cluster... Not bad for a supporting role with res in my pocket in case the primary monk dies. I often find myself the last man standing so I run away and res when things quiet down...cowardice? Never heard of it...I call it practicallity...Keep in mind this was all at lvl13...can't imagine what ascention will do for me in the coming weeks...
