how Much gold do you have?

Just curious how do you farm with ranger... Do you use smiting?

Lvl 20 W/Me, about 7 plat. I think the people who make serious money sell somewhere other than to vendors or to other players in-game (ebay? fora?), because the vendors pay hardly anything even for really good items, and it's damn hard to sell anything to other players. Lots of sellers, no buyers.

The only thing I've sold which've made any money was a superior rune of vitality, which I, after advertising it for ten minutes in Lions Arch, eventually got 3K for (then, an hour later, I found another one which I've kept). Oh yeah, and black dye, got 1500 for that one.

Yesterday I spent an hour trying to sell a superior ranger rune and a superior mesmer rune in Ascalon and Lions Arch. Didn't get a single offer and ended up having to sell them to a trader for 25 gold each. I need my inventoryspace.

The guy who claims to make 6 plat in 30 minutes is probably farming the "dozens of low-level undead attacking in four closely packed waves" quest with area effect spells.

this is how i farm:

1 go to Gates of Kryta
2 walk through the Portal to where the mergoyles r
3 use Aura of Resoration
4 wait till the mergoyles r bunched up and then i use Fire Storm
5 throw random spells atm em (some life giving ones for me)

i can kill bout 3 of em in 30 seconds, and i get some good money + loot from this

btw i am Necro/Elementalist

if im bored i put on mending and run around and spam barrage on low level mobs, but mostly i farm chests cruisin around with dash and storm chasser, i pulled a 15~28 Ebon Flatbow of Fortitude +30hp and a 6~28 Crippling Double bladed Axe of enchantingwas +14% dmg with enchant and 18%longer enchant i believe out of 1 chest sold for 15k

6k at the moment, but i lose 1-3k everytime i go on these forums.. damn you sell thread!

Some of the rich guys make money selling their drops in Ascalon city. I know I got 3 drops in a mission and sold them for 8x more than what an NPC would have taken for it. But I don't spend all my time selling drops unless my storage account is full.

I will say that the drops in a place like Underground will get you some nice cash if you sell to players.

But, for me, the game isn't all about getting rich. I like finding that unique item while I hunt.

could you share some more of that farming with a ranger? i play a r/me and i kind of feel like it's not a good char to farm with. if i got you right you run around, trying not to be hit to get to some chest. where do you do this? do you do this totally on your own? would be glad if you could give some hints...

I farm all the time with my monk. I have 25P

About 90p, give or take a few platinum.

Farm with monk and have about 95k right now.

I have 40 some-odd plat ATM and don't need any armor, runes, or sigils right now so I haven't done much farming. I generally pull in 10-15p an hour farming, but can't bring myself to do it for more than an hour or two at a time because it's just so freakin BORING.

somewhere between 100k-200k cash and about 3 chars full of stuff I'm too lazy to sell. I'm an item hoarder at heart ^^

how would one get so much money
