alliance battle griefers

I just wanted to enter an alliance battle, but i noticed that my food was ready and didnt.
However an evil idea spawnt...

Doesnt every point your team gains get you one point of faction?
Couldnt that be easily abused by simply joining a game, going afk and gathering faction?

no pretty sure it doesn't. I played Alliance Battle last night to get me to that 10,000 mark and only time i recieved faction points was by either winning (750ish) or losing (150ish)

The OP wasn't talking about quitting halfway, he was talking about staying AFK. While it's easy to notice an afk fellow in 4-v-4 RA, it's a lot easier to simply disappear in the complete chaos that 12-v-12 currently is and nobody would give him a second glance.

Yeah you could afk faction like that, but whats the point? its so much more fun to fight it out. Check out this win, INSIDE their base

im pretty sure you gain as many points faction as your team gains ingame.
i only made that beggining quest which gives 250 faction.
and i have 516 faction overall.
oddly enough 266 is exactly the points my team had. :P

i just wondered how they plan to prevent such easy faction farming...
