Are you gonna charge full game price for THAT?
I seriously hope this world we are seeing is just a TINY part of it. It's the size of presear!

+ new armor.
+ new weapons.
+ lots of pvp.
+ swords finally got a nice boost.

+- alliances (i dont know if this is gonna be good or bad, it's known in MMORPGs that best towns/castles are always owned by lame alliances)

- tiny and ugly world (and i hope the marketplace will SHRINK)
- fish vs treepeople.
- too asian for my taste (oh god i dont dare imagine if they actually expand this world and it turns out to be completely asian ).
- ugly faces, ugly hair.
- not enough item upgrades (i wanted to see more).
- why so many new skills? i see alot of replica.

You have alot of things to fix before you release this... what is it called again by players... GW2? It doesnt even have GW feeling anymore.
Yes, i'm going to buy factions (just because i preordered it long time ago, and i already paid), but once WoW expansion is out, i'm going to think twice before i get next GW addon.

The size of Pre-Searing? Come on now. There are just a lot of towns and areas packed together, instead of the spread out fashion of Tyria. Sure, Tyria's map is probably larger, but half of the damn thing isn't explorable. At all. You don't have to walk 10 miles to get to the next town/outpost in Cantha, it seems.

With the border war going on between the Luxons and the Kurzicks, it's pretty clear that the theme of this expansion isn't about exploration at all. It's about fighting for every little scrap of land that's available.

How many times does it have to be said that this is just a preview? Of course it's just a tiny part, and Cantha is more condensed than Tyria. I just don't understand how people can be so ignorant about this fact, and also so closed-minded about the asian theme.

Re: hoping that the size of the Marketplace will shrink:

This beta event skips the rest of the urban area of Cantha and puts you right into the Luxon/Kurzick war. Have you noticed a lot of the blocked-off doors in the marketplace? There seems to be a whole other region of zones/outposts from the marketplace.

Preview or not, it's 1 month only until Factions is released. They have alot to work on. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a delay.
And yes, current asian theme is horrible, it's my opinion and you have to respect that just as i respect yours.

This is a preview, A demo, not the full game. You really think there gonna bring out the whole game for a preview?



The part you can see is tiny compared to the actually one, there still about 90% of that map unexplored who knows whats out there.

If the Asian theme bothers you that much, then maybe its best for you if you skip out on factions and wait around for chapter 3. They've stated clearly that Factions is going to be permeated with an asian feel, and that each chapter will have a different cultural feel to it. So while Factions may drive you crazy, Chapter 3 will be different and may be something you enjoy better.

Seems like there are a lot of paths that are blocked right now. I think that indicates a lot more map in the game than what we are seeing in preview.

As a Luxon I have only had contact with the Turtle Clan. I believe there are at least three clans. Not sure on this.

I'm suspecting there'll be many rooftop, sewer and slum areas to explore within the huge city area, and there'll be many larger and closely packed zones all over the map to make the amount of content the same as Chapter 1. Don't judge the amount there is to explore in Cantha until you play through the game for real.

I love it. IMHO I think it's way better than prophecies. Factions brings some ORIGINALITY to the table. If you want a game like Wow, then GO PLAY WOW, is the basic solution. As for me, I'll be preordering every chapter that I can.

He is right, it is the size of presearing multiplied by what 500? Lol. And I would gladly pay the $50 just for the new skills. Hell I'd pay it just for the new healing elite that heals and gives you energy. But they didn't let you play in all parts of Cantha in the preveiw.

Edit: It is a bit too asian for my taste as well. But I will just goto Cantha to get the skills and what-not that I want and then stay in Tyria. Problem solved.

Dont forget that we can't bring over our characters, so no more multiple races in GW, only asians and part-asians, cuz every face is asian.
