Hmmm....I guess I'll have to believe it now, I think this will make the Rune price go down even more from what it is now. Guess it's time to liquidize all those sup absorptions that I saved up.

I'm hoping this intentional. It gives non-farmers the chance to be on a level playing field with farmers.

In any case-

I simply liked certain items having a degree of rarity. Guild Wars was never supposed to be about the items--in the sense that having certain items really wouldn't effect gameplay in any dramatic way. However, for those who felt the need to MIN-MAX to the.. err.. max.. there would be that option.

It's that option I like. Not because I min-max TO THE EXTREME, but rather because it creates a system of what is and isn't valuable, and gives me satisfaction in acquiring these items. ;P

Farming, in other words, for farming's sake. Just the pleasure of acquiring an item deemed to be rare.

When I popped my sup ab, I was squeeling with delight. Once I realized everyone else was popping them too, my elation vanished. I didn't want the sup ab for the money or to use it for myself. I wanted it for the satisfaction of knowing, hey, I got a rare item. ;P

Ah, well.

I'm wondering if the drop rates were changed for the factions preview weekend? It wouldn't be the first time ANet has tweaked stuff so that preview players get a good sampling of play possibilities.

I always get minors from purps.

After months of playing, I got my first sup vigor rune today
Sold it for 16k
To me, that was a lot of money. Thus I am happy

Purple superiors are dropping everwhere. Got one on Hells Precipice just a few minutes ago. I suspect it's just an armor glitch that will be fixed with a patch.

After today's update, I went outside Drok's and killed the Avicara out there. The armor one dropped was a purple, and it was a Superior Smiting Rune. I thought that was odd as well. Looks like they may have indeed changed something, since there are a lot of reports about this.

Went to LA right after, and *surprise surprise* all rune prices have dropped considerably. [MONK SUPERIOR] Healing used to be near 11k, and the others used to be 8.5k. They are all around 5.5k now. Sub Ab and Vig are also down a lot.

Better dump all your runes while you can. If you can get sups from purples the market is going to tank so hard.

I have a feeling another rollback is happening because the will the amount of superior runes being dropped and people gett sup absorp and other type of runes constantly, A-Net would have to use rollback in order to get the market stable. I already saw like tons of WTS sup absorp or WTS purple armors with sup runes in there in all the towns i been to.

Today I had 3 purple drops from ettisn, and all 3 were superior!

I'm all for increasing drop-rates.

At the rate these things are dropping though, there won't be a market for runes anymore.

maybe a-net did this so that you can unlock all the runes and stuffs by the time chapter 2 is out? Or it just some glitch and A-Net haven't catch on yet?

I think its nerfed just did 3 runs only 2runes, sup curses and major abs

I dislike the logic that Anet is making things easier for Chapter 2, 'cause it assumes everyone in Chapter 1 -will- be playing Chapter 2.

I'm not saying this to stab you in the face or anything. ;P

I just disagree with it.
