W/mo , were not all that bad , just a lot of idiots give us a bad name

Most of those who play the Paladin build play it wrong as it is a supportive Warrior not an offencesive War.It jop is to defend the castors and help them out .I see nothing wrong with playing W/Mo in either PvP or PvE it depends on how you use them.The only Monk skill I use are mend ailment and restorelife on my W/Mo.

I guess you only see what you want to see. This is what I've just seen today. Many high ranked guilds use their warrior's secondary class, not for Tiger's Fury, Aftershock or Holy Strike true, but it is used.

Observe a 7 man War Machine (#4 at the time) win today with with CoP warriors. Observe Peace and Harmony (#8 at the time) run dual shock warriors. Observe no clue (#17 at the time) run a shock warrior. Empty Skillbars (#34 at the time) run dual plague touch. I've also seen War Machine run plague touch warriors before. Hell I've even seen the occasional use of Tiger's Fury, Storm Bearers (#21 at the time).

I love W/Mo because I sit and take all the damage while the casters rape everything =). I also run and farm.

well yeah about 99% of all W/Mo are noobs or jerks
but thats the way it is when they evolve they realise that
second class monk is not soo good after all and
change to Me (tank) and N (plague touch ;P)
im sure many of you agree with me and the
reputation will never clear up...

dont mean to turn this into a 55 thread, but have you noticed how before everyone hated W/Mo's and now they hate Mo/W's?

W/Mo's are easily beaten, e-drain, strip, SS/empathy... the list goes on.

I love my warrior, but if u play another prof and go w/ a warrior u can see how dumb some are...

Im a noob?! i hope that 1% is me! Warrior/monk is Okay i use Balth's sprit for Engery and Adrenaline (In Pve farming) with mending (I'm a farmer no PvP'er) armor doesnt matter to me, its dmg and cash at the end that matter's me and i save up my money and treat myself to something nice for once like FOW armor, I'm on 59 ecto's i think around 5 shards a odd balence and its not much but as i dont go to uw i buy the stuff rofl.. I spent quite a lot on ecto's from people

I have been on missions with plenty of W/Mo most of them we're pretty decent people. I think the whole think the amount of stupid ones is just a little exagerrated. I recently made a W/R. Who needs mending when there are plenty of substitute skills.

Tanks are probably the most versatile characters in the game. 1) they can take one helluva beating 2) with the secondaries they lend a helping hand provided u have the right one for the right situation. Case in point is tombs, back when it was new and I wanted a bulwark but would nort pay 100k plus ectos. b/p is fast. I tried getting in one with my w/n but was unable. I know im not a ranger orders mm or monk. How many times have you seen a grasp get past the minnions and totally destoy 1 or 2 people in the group? This would be cut down by the tank blocking better than a minnion cus he has a brain and throw ss out there. This cuts down the time of the run by about 15 minutes. I have tried with a guildy who got me in a group but half way through a ranger died and blamed it on me of course cus im the tank. Wasnt my fault at all either. If you are a ranger why are you in front of the minnions and out of the monks range? Anyways he dropped callled me a noob then another dropped and you know the rest. Basically what Im trying to say is that tanks r not the reason tards die it is usually the tards fault, also why are people against trying to tweek a build to make it better. If the world was like that we would all be playing gw on ataris. Tweak the build they can always be made better!

Monk has some nice options for energy management and and effective self healing. People who call W/Mo instantly noobs are noobs. The Monk line is deeper then mending and contains a decent amount of utility for use on someone who wants to hold aggro.

Additionally, I often play W/Mo with mending in CA for fun. It gets wins. If you build in energy management you can use mending to passively create decent healing in an environment that is low on enchantment removal (real noobs are people who goto CA without enchantment removal and could have, which is 95% of the people). Not saying it is l337, but I am saying it is decent utility.

I see more "noob" Ele's, Mesmers, Monks, etc., then W/Mo's.. But then, regardless of what class I'm playing at the time, I refuse to run in a group with more than 1 tank. So long as your tank knows how to control aggro, and the rest of the group knows how to let them do it, you only ever need 1 Warrior in your group for any quest or mission in PvE.

I've only ever been in one PUG that I didn't have to explain aggro and aggro control to.

Just one.

Got to give you that.. Most arena whammo's kill their entire team with SS

Anyone who generalizes about a certain class shows a sure sign of being a nOOb themselves. I see this as a fast way to pick teams and leave out the people who do not have the experience to know the difference (theyre doing you a favour in a way). Ive read a million posts about how most players use W/Mo first etc etc but there are some pretty damn fine W/Mo's out there... this thread starter is one of em.

Ive been called a nOOb standing in random arenas only to be then asked by that person "hey dude where did you get that armour?" (FoW)...hehe whos the nOOb..you tell me

My guild runs two W/Rs for tiger's fury. I'm one of them. We just won like 5 guild wars today.

I have a warrior. I can't remember the last time I played her. Why? Because there's about a half million warriors for every one of anything else. I can't be bothered to waste 20 minutes trying to get on a FoW/UW run with my warrior, or any other run for that matter. I have a few secondaries for my warrior, but sometimes I get the impression that this was the dialogue inside the head of the people who created thier first character:

"Hmmm...lats si nwo. wuts this? warrier? ZOMFG WARRIER I GUNA SMAESH SUMTHING KOOOOOLLLLL!!!!11. KK, i got ax now and mneding alrite i gud 2 go."

And then they just played that character and that character alone. The other three character slots they own have collected a foot of dust. Now I think it's obvious that I'm being sarcastic here, but honestly, who needs to deal with the warrior deluge anyways? I just play my monk if I actually want to get anything done. Well...I've gotten a little off topic here.

The point is, as far as I can see, warriors are a dime a dozen, especially wammos, and it doesn't help that it's exactly the kind of choice you'd expect to see from a n00b 11 year old. My theory is that warriors in general (not just wammos) get a bad rep because there's just so many of them. It annoys people who've learned the tactical wisdom behind the necro, the ranger, or *gasp* even the mesmer, to see the million man march of wammos everywhere you turn.

Hehe, its just that PvP players especially get really annoyed with paladins in Random Arena. Obviously there are uses for Wammos, and not all are n00bish (bulls charge and bal aura is a nice combo for the record) but the vast majority actually think that Wammos are the best build in the world cos they can stay alive the longest. It is our juty then, to disaude ppl from using that annoying paladin build, as it is simply terrible. When somebody baits you over being a wammo, just try to convince them that you are in fact helping the tam with the monk secondary, not just helping yourself...

I think basically, the w/mo is probably the one of the best builds for starting out in GW. Therefore, there is likely to be more less experienced players using them, and hence when these less experienced players make a mistake, the w/mo seems to take the blame.

W/Mo....... is, somewhat useful for solo.. But id prefer a W/N over it anyday.. No doubt about it.

Meh, people are idiots... what do you expect..O.o
