hi guys,
my game is lex and i have a r/e on guild wars,
which i use for desert farming(in vultures drift, arid sea)
recently, i noticed a small but drastic change in the desert farming gameplay...
i knew wurms could be trouble, but after a like a hundred meters, they would stop annoying me when i went farming, now a days, they DONT STOP, so every time i meet a wurm, i die.
running skills dont help, cuz it they're very fast.
if more people experience this problem or just wanna share a thought, plz put a feedback here, so the gwars team might fix this annoying problem.
lex.
desert farmers, beware!!

Actually that is part of the "update in wurm behavior" which was in one of the recent updates. They used to A. be lazy and B. if you kited them long enough would pop out of the ground and stare at you without attacking. To stop players (me) from exploiting this the Anet made them the bonegrinding killers they now are. Enjoy!

I really don't see this as a 'problem' that needs fixing. It makes things rather interesting and little more challenging, actually.
Husband, a friend and I were helping another friend map-point the desert missions yesterday. I helped him with Sanctum Cay and then met with the third friend at Amnoon. We grouped and went to Augury then made a huge circle with our "Desert Tour 2006". No running, all fighting. Heck, we even killed the Queen just to give our buddy the experience (no green drop, tho).
It was challenging but not un-doable. In fact, it was almost disappointingly quiet in spots. The only spot that was nearly a disaster was outside of Thirsty when *two* sand wurms popped up amidst out on-going battle with griffons. The wurms, I must say, appeared to be very hungry. However, we prevailed in the end and off we went to Destiny's Gorge and then Elona.
The wurms shouldn't be seen as a problem but rather a natural obstacle to outwit and overcome. Hellfire, even real life farmers have to figure out how to win out over nature.....are you saying you are so lazy that you cannot adapt and do the same?

kk, i agree that its not a bug, but my r/e is my primary farmer for sand giants, and i no its easy to solo wurms, i do it with my n/r and e/n but its kinda impossible with my r/e, so its pretty annoying to get whiped out after walking 2 feet... besides falcon dance, i think u make the wrong assumptions too fast, im not lazy, im annoyed, and comparing a computer game with nature, sheesh, well... atleast u've got a good imagination.
