EB Games Dee Dee Dee Situation

For all you people who do not still have the pre-order package and have order from EB Games call Best Buy I am dead sure they have it. My local EB Games doesn't even know what a pre-order package is!! So once again call Best Buy and you will most likely be able to get your package as soon as you pre order!
And do not forget to refund your pre order at EB.

yeah i just walked into best buy and bought one for $10.00 i dident even preorder.

ya thats how i got mine, EB was taken so long, went to BB got it, 2 days later they had gotten the pre-order in, but i already had it, so i returned it and got my 5$ back from EB games. I was at another one, they had like 10 copys of Guildwars, like 10 of Pre-order factions and then 1 CE. So it was sweet.

I got my pre-order from EB Games on the 14 & they had like 12 copies. The sales guy told me that to pre-order Factions I had to get the pre-order package. And I put $10 down on Factions. So it got me wondering if some stores(EB, BB, and others) are not fully updated. I quess it depends on where you live.

GRRRR Now I'm getting angry. I pre-ordered from Best Buy 5 days ago, I sent them an email, they said they do not have a special order key or something similar, they should have it "soon".. I'm going to cancel my order soon if I don't get any action.

I walked into my store and got a box. Took a minute or so to find it. They still have a few left.


Edit: EB got bought by gamestop and they aren't great with MMOs now I've heard. In fact I think both are trying to get out of the PC game business.

Anyone live in Oklahoma and know a place to order off of online? That actually knows something and has decent service. I suggest you don't buy from Best Buy, unless they're being idiots to me for some reason. You might get more luck.

Oh yeah, I've noticed that they both have been concentrating more and more on the console games for the last few years now, and carrying less of anything PC related, so that fact that a lot of people are having a difficult time getting a hold of the pre-order is not surprising. The best bet for PC games right now is a Best Buy or CompUSA - or on-line methods. The little guys don't see much profit in PC, just the upcoming consoles, and the large retailers, like Target or Wal Mart will have a very limited selection to begin with.

I am thinking this issue is connected to where you live....because if you guys are saying best buy is coming through they must not like me and Jas D. I ordered the 3rd of March or around there and they sent me an e-mail some weeks later saying that the preoder pack release date has been moved back to the date of game release.

I rarely whine about Anet but it is kinda stupid for them to advertise all these stores on their site but the stores not give what is promised and needed. What purpose will the preoder access key serve a month after the pre-release event??

I can't answer that question. I'm thinking about getting mine from EB online, maybe I'd get some luck but I'm going to see if Best Buy emails me back.. This SERIOUSLY shouldn't be that hard to get a f'ing pre-order.

I contacted best buys customer service and got a chick who actually played the game to talk about it. Basically we get the preorder (if ordered through best buy) with a copy of the actual game when it is released. If you want the 24 hour ahead of time part of the preorder it is best to just cancel and pick it up at a store nearby.

they arnt trying to get out of PC games, heck last year EB started buying PC games AND music CDs.

Your problems arnt being caused by the company, they are being caused by the stupid people that work at the stores, that dont evem try to know what they are doing.

Exactly like I said, the one I went to I tried to explain the pre-order package and he kept on sayig April 29th!!! I got really angry and hung up. Such idiots should know rom playing games over time what a pre-order package is

Yep, thats what the idiots at my EBgames said. I went to Best Buy first to buy it, but it was too crowded so I went to EBgames and they said it will come on April 29th. But when i called them they said as soon as they get the preorder package. BTW whats the time period you can cancel your preorder from EBgames? 30 days?

The Best Buy I went to still had about 10 copies left. I'm guessing it's not too popular here, or at that Best Buy anyways. Does anyone know if they are going to credit the $10? Because on the reciept it said "pre-sell" not "pre-order." Anyways, with them not doing what they are suppose to do for a pre-order, I recommend never pre-ordering a game from them, in-store dunno about online, because they will not hold it for you.
