Crystalline Swords

Is crystalline sword better than any other sword drops?

Only for those that want to sell them or flaunt them.

Crystallilnes only drop in chests, Best locations that i knew of were FOW, ND HoH but i have seen some ppl get it randomly from Droknar forge runs, while they were running me -( only like 2 tho, both were purp

so, whoever is telling everyone they found it from monsters, they are just bs'ing or just forgot they got it from a chest near the monster they killed...

If memory serves me correctly, I got one somewhere in the Crystal Desert on my way to one of the missions for Ascension, but, of course, I didn't know how valuable they were at the time and sold it to the Merchant. It's a good thing money isn't everything in Guild Wars

Where do the drop most often? I've heard of several places, but nothing really accurate.

i heard that the crystal desert is a good place for CRYSTALine swords. But then i recently heard south of maguuma stade (which apparantely doesnt exist) Hye, let me knwo when u find out tho.

Can anyone tell me where the most common place for Crystalline Swords to drop is ? I have been all over the map coming up with nothing each time. Even if its a place that you've gotten a CS once I'd like to hear about it.

I've seen a crystalline sword once. Someone had one in pre-sear. Who knows how they got that.

But yea, they are beyond rare

Crystalline swords drop mainly from Phantom Chests in the Underworld...that's what i've heard. i've never heard much about the Fissure of Woe chests dropping these swords, but it might be possible.

also, crystalline swords drop from the Hall of Heroes chest that spawns whenever a team wins the match. it's all blind luck though, practically 1/100 or so chance of getting one.

stronghold chest, and HoH chest i think

The Lost Strongbox was removed in a recent patch, i think. so it's not a valid way to get one anymore.

I had heard you can get them in FoW chests... have done about 300 chest runs tho and have never seen one drop, for me or anyone else, but heard they come from the keyless chests... I dont have much experience in the UW but hear they come from the keyless ones there and I know HoH has em..

cystalline swords are extremly rare but what the above posters have said is what i have heard also. There are several threads on this topic, they all say the same thing FOW chests HOH chests chest in dreadnaughts drift (which the update removed)

The easiest way to get one is in Pre-Searing, it's not max dmg ofcourse, but it looks great when you're a IW-Mesmer. Just do a quest. I'm not certain which quest.
It looks the same as a crystaline sword only the name is longsword. So don't be fooled if the name of the reward is longsword. That longsword can be just as easily your crystaline sword.
