For the UK Guild Wars Factions players, were you buying your Copy?

Ok this is more for people based in the Uk and are going to buy the game in the UK and not Overseas.

To be honest i dont know much about simplygames but its was the cheaper that i have found for the Guild Wars : Factions - Collectors Edition £38.93 inc. Delivery, so were you guys buying it and what was the best price you have found?

Anyone knows how Reliable is simplygames.com? Thanks

Irish myself and ordering from Gamestop.com myself and costing me $86 as well. Simplygames looks a lot cheaper.

Gameplay.com is a possibility, as is www.game.uk.com (I note that they are mailing out the full preorder box even for online preorders).

well, assuming my local GAME store has the pre order box, ill be getting it fro them...
and since they know i will bug them almost every damn day, till i get one...

I hope i get the game the day before it hits the shops, but if the price stays like this i dont mind 1 or 2 days late.

i pre ordered factions CE from simply games last week. Just under £40. ive used them before i bought the original CE from them too. no complaints here they seem pretty spot on.

I'll just wander into my local GAME and pick one up around the date of release. I was going to get Pre-Order or CE but now we know that there are no extra character slots for getting then I'll not be bothering. Also (imo) the collectors stuff looks pish (back-up dancers ? - oh dear).

Did you get the preorder kit? I see no mention of it on their site.

Anyone have a good source for the preorder kit? I've pre-ordered from amazon.co.uk, but they STILL have no mention of a pre-order kit, so I'd like to place my order somewhere else.

BTW, has anyone in the UK actually got their pre-order kit yet?

I am told by a friend that www.gameplay.co.uk offer the CE as preorder as well, and they also emailed him its matching preorder key yesterday, though it's a little more expensive than simplygames. I've yet to preorder factions yet myself. Am I the only one that finds anet's preordering scheme nuts? Anyway with two accounts I'll probably preorder one and CE the other.

The porblem I am having is that beside GAME, there are noone else doing the per-order copy.

Also, another thing I am debating is rather the CE is that much better than the pre-order version.

It seems you get pre-order weapons from the pre-order copy, but many other things such as clothed map from CE rather then in game goodies.

Are we at the starge where its too early to see whats all the best offers are?

Presently, only the online preorders should be out, the boxed preorder comes out March 31st. GAME, Gameplay and Amazon all seem to be doing the online (no box) preoreder.
As far as I can see, GAME are the only ones who are doing the boxed preorder as well - if you read their page they will email the online-only preorder, and then post the preorder box once they have them to anyone who makes an online preoder. They are a touch more expensive, but offer the best of both worlds. Alas, they dont have the CE at the moment (although I have emailed them and am awaiting a response).

Lets just hope Game actually stocks the pre-orders box / collectors edition this time in their street stores, they didn't for GWP, to be honest none of the ppl in my local store had even heard of GW:P till about a week b4 release lol

I pre-ordered the CE from gameplay.co.uk; they sent me the preorder key in email a couple days later (gives my exisitng account the pre-order items) AND they will have the the boxed CE package delivered to me by April 28th, i.e. as advertised by Anet. Just got off the phone with them and they confirmed all that.

i have all this Stores Game/HMV/Virgin/Gamestation like 15min away but the price they charge is abit mad and i am tired of RIPOFF Britain, thats why i always check online u can get some better deals.

Not sure if is the preordering that need a good fix or people at games stores should have better knowledge about games and ANet doest advert enough in the UK like others do. But try asking Alex Weekes he sounds like the person in charge in the UK, but again I may be wrong.

I still remember 2weeks before GW was out I asked in a game store if they were going to get GW and when I dint have a clue what I was on about i try to explain the game and they gave me a copy of WOW.

Even this week i asked in some store about GW Factions and they told me that WoW is the hot ticket atm and i should get that, plus they dont know anything about Factions but they have Guild Wars in stock lol. you got to love them.

Yep, I've pre-ordered from GamePlay as well (standard edition), and got the pre-order keys the next day.

At the risk of sounding like a moron what is CE? I keep seeing this abbreviation in this thread.

Collector's Edition, see North America or Europe for contents.
