We should have a St Patricks day in GW. Green rivers, guinness to get them drunk. St Patrick himself going about the place and leprechauns who craft things and have a pot of gold to get, and then get chased by the leprechaun for stealing the gold. Lots of green leprechaun hats of course and Guinness.

what you think will it ever happen?

I don't think many countries outside of the US celebrate it, if any.

What about Ireland? You know, where St. Patrick and St. Paddy's day comes from... It's not always about the US you know...

I didn't see ArenaNet put up an event for 節分, 설날 or Chinese New Year.

Anybody who enjoys a good drink should enjoy St Pattie's Day (responsibly, of course). You don't have to be Irish...

As for a GW event, that would be cool, but don't count on it. I have a date that night, so I won't be able to participate. Which is a shame, because I've been saving a lot of in game booze for an event like this!

Oh, and a quick Google search found this:

Tokyo, Japan. About 2,000 participants march down fashionable Omotesando Avenue, lined for the occasion by Irish and Japanese flags, cheered on by as many as 7,000 spectators. The Irish Ambassador to Japan leads the kilt-wearing, bag-pipe playing participants and it doesn't seem to matter that very few of them are from the ould sod. The Japanese love a good party and they are particularly fond of all things Irish - including Guinness at about $7.00 a pint! However, there are a growing number of Irish pubs that send attractive young ladies to the parade for the sole purpose of handing out free beer vouchers. Not surprisingly, the 'voucher girls' are a parade highlight!

The next time that I see the bastardization "azn" used by someone, it'll be their head on a platter.

Hmm. I just realized something. With each new chapter holidays are going to require a considerably larger amount of work... Either each chapter will need it's own holidays or the current holidays will need to be applied to more cities.

Chinese New Year would be great too, hell more holidays in general would be good, even if they were regional only.

St. Patricks is generally celebrated wherever there are Irish - there is a hell of a lot of us about

The internet is the death of the English language. Pheer, teh, pwn, secks; the list goes on and on.

..No pints for you, my friend.

Kaly, we do call our flag 'Green, white and gold'..though for the life of me, I don't know why.

*Note-There's no such things as leprechauns; or at least I've never seen one.I think it's a ploy to catch out Yanks with more money than sense; you know, like the ones who think it's an American holiday
