Heya,
Welp - I ended up going with a combination of both our builds. And it worked great! I got the staff too. I took it safe, slowly taking out each patrol first. Though they go fast when they're being smited by griffons. Anyhow, the ignite arrow prep wasn't the damage dealer, but more the savior in terms of scarab A.I. They're totally moronic when they get hit by that. For the small 2 scarab groups that Queen would send after me if I arggoed her, I simply backed up until they broke aggro, taking any hits normally. Then I'd hit one to drag them back. She would cast on them a bit. Then I found the sweet spot and just stayed there with ignite arrows and I would put poison arrow on the nest builder, and fire normal ignite hits at the marrow. Queeny would step out, and cast on them. Then I'd back up and they went away. Ignite makes groups of scarabs totally daffy.... they wander back and forth. I could just stand there with my short ascalon bow, firing ignites into a pack of 3 of them without too much worry while I kept the nest builder poisoned (patrols that is). Worked like a charm.
So, my little process:
1 - I cast mending and just run along the edges, past the first 2 monsters from the entrance.
2 - I let the minotaur arggo me--they break anyways.
3 - I run right along the right side edge of the large swarm of scarabs near the res shrine. They follow, as well as a single minotaur. They usually break after a few yards.
4 - I walk right through several mobs that are fighting minotaurs and dodge the non-fighting patrols.
5 - I start on the left, pulling one patrol at a time into the griffon boss in the corner. I help clean up morrows and I use savage to stop any well of profanes that I can. Usually the boss lives through two patrols. But a third kills him.
6 - Instead of leaving it to one griffon boss, I then switch to the right, pulling to the other one. How convenient that there are two griffon bosses!
7 - I had to kill a patrol on my own, though I did it by choice to test ignite and the scarab A.I.. It worked fine and they died.
8 - I poison the furthest nest builder from the normal hill crest in the screen shots. She casts on him and I switch to another nest builder, poisoning him too. Then I re-poison the first nest builder again. He melts away and dies. I go ahead and kill the other one too via poison. Might as well get them both and have a flat surface to work on.
9 - I move into range and hit Queen with poison arrow. I let her arggo me too.
10 - She sends a few scarabs. I back up and find their arggo range. Then I hold my ground and fire at them as they run to Queen and back to me. When the nest builder eats a poison arrow and an ignited arrow at the same time, 1/3rd of it's life nearly goes away, so Queen comes running out to cast on him.
11 - I let them run back to Queeny. Queen stays put, away from her circle.
12 - I poison her and drop my nature's renewal spirit. I cast ignite and go to work on her. If you time it, she casts certain spells at an interval. I alway shot my savage just a moment before I thought she'd cast and caught nearly every guardian she started to throw out. At half health, she cast Reversal, while poisoned, and then she cast contemplation of purity to end both processes--retarded Queen. I repoisoned her and then savaged her MoP. She drained from one more poison arrow with an ignite explosion.
13 - I walked over and picked up my shiny new staff.

I did it a few more times, and not every time a staff dropped, so it's totally random. I picked up keys and scrolls and gold mostly. Anyhow, works like a charm

A.net stopped most of the monks in this particular place, but Rangers can do what they cannot and without all those expensive runes and items!
Anyhow - I'm certain that A.net will rework Queen's AI again. She was too easy before and they thought they fixed her. But she's still a daffy retard and walks away from her precious nest builders who watch her die and drop loot for us from afar. The only way to truly stop it is to basically make her never ever leave her spot haha.
Cheers!
