different character slots question

This may be addressed in the 6 char slots thread but search is down and im not scimmiing 500+ posts

If I buy two Factions games can I link them both to my original account for 4 more character slots(2 from each), for a total of 8 character slots on my account?

I personally would seriously consider doing this for the extra character slots.

If someone knows the answer for sure, is not speculating on what might be possible, please inform me.

Also i would like to know if anyone else would do this

you cant, you can link accounts, but you wont get any extra slots, thats why there are a bunch of people with 2 sepparate accounts.

Same thing will be for Factions

Two Stand Alone Games (not merged) = 4 Slots per game
Merge C1 and C2 = 6 Slots Total

You can not merge two established accounts latter.

An Merged account will give you access to all jobs and the ability to have 50 (25 x2 jobs) more skills to choose from for making your builds with each character (less Rit or Assas) and the ability to move between both games once they meet the prereq (C1 to get to C2 is you have to be Ascended).

i think what they want to know is...

one guildwars+factions..yes...
one guildwars+factions+factions....no...

but....
two guildwars+two factions....yes.....

Edit: i mean to say..no you cant merger 2 copies of factions to one copy of guildwars....but you could morge one factions and guildwars, then buy another copy of both factions and guildwars and merge them together, to create two seperate merged accounts....

i mean that they will allow only one copy of factions to be linked to a single copy of Guildwars

Or, you could have:

Chap. 1 + Factions: merged

Another copy of Factions installed separate, just for fun.

ok this is starting with one propheices account, and i only want to end up with one total account but i want 8 character slots.

so prophecies+factions+factions=8 char slots, 1 account

thats what i want, seems like they are not down with this, I think they should be, I want 8 slots on 1 account

too bad. There are only two ways to go about. You can have 1 complete account (Guild Wars ->merge<- Factions) and get 6 slots, or you can have 2 seperate accounts (Guildwars <-no connection-> Factions) and get 8 char slots. If you want to discuss/complain, or don't understand why this is, then you'll have to skim through the already created thread on this topic and add any input there.

That's what the majority of us want. 8 slots for one account, but for some reason Anet is not listening to this request.
They are awesome on some other issues and listening, but not on this one for some odd reason. I've heard blather about fiscal reasons, but it all seems like speculation with no real facts behind it. So I hold to them just holding a carrot in front of our noses and us chasing behind it saying "gimme!"

but yeah..a lot of players would like one account with 8 slots on, but that will only happen if ether...

1:a-net relents and alows us the 8 slots *For This ExpansionOnly*
2: you wait till the 3rd chapter and merge that..4+2+2...

however, i will say again.....

you can ONLY merge ONE guildwars account with ONE factions acount Per Single Acount....

Meaning you can only have one copy of factions merged with one copy of guildwars....

you will not be able to add ANOTHER copy of factions to you existing merged account....ONLY the single copies of the Next Chapters may be addedd to a single Merged account.....
