The meaning behind your character(s) name(s)?

Welllll......my primary character, X of Thulcandra, was sort of a rushed name, but in many other games, I use the simple alias of "Mr.X", and I had just finished reading a book way back when by C.S. Lewis called "Out of the Silent Planet". In that book, Earth is called Thulcandra, so my name (to me, at least) means "Mr.X of Earth".

(Too bad Mister X and Mr X were already taken way back when I started playing in July)

Darth Kindor = Well its a name i made for KOTOR 1 and 2. He had some good times in those games

I Want a Spanky = ummmmmmm i wont acknowledge this at all.

Lets Get To Healing = Just because i (believe it or not) heal.

Yeah i have been playing guildies for months and only 1 person has known where my name came from. Its off a sticker on my guitar -name of a Pearl Jam album, Riotact and all my other names r Pearl Jam based.

I'm lazy so my mains name is my real name, and my necros name is um im a necro.

For pvp characters I always name them woot im a (insert class here).

All my character names stem pretty much from my original char name Myth Randir....gandalf's elvish name...lol....so im a lord of the rings fan...so sue me lol.

I pick names to match the personality and profession of my characters

W/MO-Maximus the Sturdy *I know i used maximus-IM SORRY, i was fast in making him for my money input so i couldnt think of a good name*

My monk: I Wont Heal - thought it was funny, people always ask me if I heal or not .
My Ranger: Distance Duck - Dont really know, I have something with ducks in my name.
Warrior: Big Eend - Were Eend is Duck in Dutch.
PVP: Obey Me Or Die - Dont really know.

All my characters have the second name "Aragoth" , simply a made up word when i realised they needed a second name, now i use it for naming characters in all games

First names are

Tainek -R/* - my standard callsign for the last few years, i litterally made it up of the sounds i like
Kathandra -M/* - talking to my freind kathy at the time
Anlia - N/* - looks worryingly like my ex girlfreind (pale complexion, stupidly thin, and blood red short hair) so i took her name and cut a few letters out of it
Altharea- W/* - i wanted a more "upper class" name to differentiate from all the Frenzy Mending Whammos

My character names:

Obi Lou Kenobi (mesmer)- take a wild guess
Charcoal Grill (ele, but I used the name on all my PvP characters)- random (I wanted to grill steakes when I made that char)
Rilian the Smasher (warrior, but not always hammer)- Rilian is a character in one the books of the lion witch and wardrobe series
Mylo Aires (monk)- random (I have no idea where it is from)

The reasoning behind the name is funny.

Kathryn The Sly (mesmer) - Mesmers are tricky *shrugs*
Lirael Saraneth - reserved this name for my ritualist, if's from the Abhorsen trilogy, by Garth Nix... basically it implies great skill with spirits and death

Grace Helfer, I combined the names of Grace Park and Tricia Helfer (both are actresses in the Battlestar: Galactica remake)

Father Antonius, most rl Christianic monks are "Fathers" so I wanted one too.

Kaylee Rhodes, my first ele´s surname was Rhodes too so she is kinda his daughter... the first name came from the series "Firefly"

Valerie Trevean, I have always wanted a "Valerie" the surname came from one of the episodes in Star Trek: DS9

*Catrin Artaith---"pure torment" in Welsh, a healing blood necro

*Cait Nic Cailleach---"pure daughter of the (hag) goddess" in Gaelic/Scots, a cursing healer monk

*Briallan Awel---"primrose breeze" in Welsh, a shut-down mesmer

*Teva Daracha---"twin from the oak" in Scots....she's Lili's sister, an air elementalist/ranger with a bird

Roy Keane was probably the greatest Irish footballer of all time. I'm from Ireland..hence the name.

Inure Face - Name based on {iNUReFAcE} that I used in this old game called Tribes 2. I really miss my friends there and in a way, its to let them know if they ever find me in some game that I am the old inureface lol. Did you know that my name could mean something like I've been through the agony of looking at your face so many times that I'm used to it. And you can spell urine feca with it lmao.

Inez Houndstooth - Inez is my real middle name. Houndstooth because my husband and I wanted character names in rememberance of our old game's character names. He played a dog-like race, so we became the Houndstooths.

Swampgirl Inez - I'm from south Louisiana and Inez is my middle name.

Morgus Magnificent - Named after Morgus the Magnificent, http://www.morgus.com/

Eliza Do Little - I like My Fair Lady and this character was originally created to be a mule. Play on words.

Armand Leblanc (Me/x) - Mesmers look filthy rich and pretentious. I ran with the stereotype and made his name pretentiously French. The name actually originates with a White Wolf Games character I created sometime back, but I couldn't remember if the surname was LaBranche or LeBlanc.

Desiree Delacoeur (Me/x) - Another pretentiously French name. If I recall correctly, her name literally translates as "Desire of the Heart." And since she's a female mesmer, it's very fitting indeed.

Elias Higharrow (R/N/Mo) - "Elias" is the name of one of my favorite (book series-only) Star Trek characters, Elias Vaughn. Go figure. Higharrow was randomly generated from the Random Elf Name Generator. I just liked how the two names sounded when linked together.

Sir Binky (W/R/Mo) - Binky was something of a "joke" character when I created him. He's a very short warrior dressed in all-pink armor, with matching pink weapons. I may or may not change his name if that becomes an option in Factions. He was named after a friend I had in university, whose nickname was "Binky."

Whisper Who Dares (R/Me/Mo) - From a book by John M. Ford, "The Last Hot Time." The book character's full name was Whisper Who Dares The Word Of Words In Darkness, but shortened to "Whisper Who Dares" for GW's sake.

Cyhiraeth Dagda (N/Mo) - Both names are Celtic gods. Since she was a necromancer, I found it fitting to use Cyhiraeth, who was the precursor of the banshee legends. Deleted character.

Sigurd Dawnfire (W/Mo) - Another mythology name, followed by another Random Elf Name Generator spawn.

Foulrot The Angry (N/R) - I couldn't figure out what would be a good name for a male necromancer. As he's not meant to be a "serious" PVE character (just something to kill time with until Factions), I tried to find something vaguely humorous. I find male necromancers to be adorably goofy, particularly a lot of their emotes. So I hit up the Evil Name Generator.

Spring Heeled Jim (R/W) - Perma-Presear character. Named for the Morrissey song of the same name.

Dinitrogen Monoxide (PVP Elementalist) - It's the technical name for "laughing gas." Get the pun, anyone?

Anonymous Hex (PVP Mesmer) - Another pun.

Corwin Avalon W/X - A nod to one of my favorite book series. It would have been Corwin Amber or Corwin of Amber but both were taken.

Amber Convolesce Mo/X - The first name is another nod to the above mentioned series. The last part is Latin based and means heal or healer roughley.

Grantes Calsair R/X - The first name is a nod to an old ps1 game called Legend of Legia, the last is just a random made up name.

PvP slot is always named "X Nocturne" where X usually has various book/game/movie/etc referances or something to do with what build I am running. Nocturne is part of my guilds name. On a side note the reason I do not mention the secondary on my toons is because I change it depending upon what build I am running.

My name "Former Ruling" comes from the fact that in most games/forums i go by "TheRulnig" (no typo...TheRulnig), and this game requires a space, So I named myself Former Ruling...Formerly going by the name ruling.

Future Ruling I made as sort of an opposite to that.

Griefer Ruling I made because I heart griefing.

my pvp character changes names everytime I roll it. I've used "Rez Me or I Quit", or "Spirit Spammer Noob", or "Im A Monk Target Me"
