thunderhead keep

Hmmmm... I have just arrived in Thunderhead Keep and haven't started the mission yet so I can't say much about this... yet. My best guess is to keep trying (duh! my obvious answer). Every boss has a way to be broken and if you can figure out what is holding up your progress than you can go recruit a character into your group that might be able to defy the skills that this boss is throwing down on you. You CAN kill him but you have to have the right party, IMO, to get it done.

My team nailed him about 20 times with the catapults but it did no good as he would just heal himeslf to full.
I was on the East side and after hitting him about 6 times he turned around and went west. Once the warrior over there engaged we figured that he was the end of it so the couple of us on the East rushed over there. When we got there I got to shoot him once before he died, so I can't really say anything except maybe to bring a Ranger or Mesmer to stop his casting if possible and I would hope that any team could take him down.
Good Luck.

speaking of stupid npc's...i was finally able to complete this mission after i ditched the real players and went with an all henchman team.
after killing the first wave at both doors, light the torches, then camp the king.
always kill the lightest armored first, and end with the bosses. The hardest boss takes a long damned time to kill, but he'll go down eventually.

We were able to beat him successfully (although it took us 5-10 minutes even with 2 nukers.) About the bonus for lighting the storm beacons, are the only ones the two on the sides of the fort? When we were doing the mission, we even sent one guy to run back to the city to check if there were any storm beacons that we missed, but only the two in the fort could be found.

that's the crux of this mission right there, and in my first attempt with henchies i did the same thing. When that second wave hit i screwed up under the pressure, and continued to pound the boss while their combined firepower killed my team.
the key during this hotspot is to keep your cool, ignore the boss, get rid of the new wave starting with the weakest, and finish with the boss. Attempt #2 was a success.
