Well, since they don't charge an online fee, they gotta have some way to squeeze money out of players
Their logic sounds like something from Kindergarten, if GW and Factions were both halves of a greater whole, with factions potentially having even more content, don't you think that 2 halves should make 8, with one "half" already being 4 players?? Especially the 6 x 100 and 4 x 50, please tell me how that makes sense.

so if we do want 8 total slots can we buy two factions games and link both to the old account??

i still doubt i will link my accounts, tehre are 8 classes and 5 slots(one for PvP) for PvE characters, i am missing out on 3/8 of the game as they state it. I'll argue i am missing less with two seperate accounts, I have played prophecies i dont have some burning desire to go back with my ritualist.

You're looking at it wrong...I corrected your post above to show how we SHOULD look at it...

I'm very happy at the increase in character slots, so I think ANet has done a good job to make its existing customers happy.

i think the logic is, if you want 8 slots, 4 GW 4 factions, you cant interchange the characters between games, but if you choose the 6, you can take characters from GW into factions and factions into GW, ill go with 6
