Stuff like this happens all the time on the america server... Is it likethat in european server too.. Cuz this seems ridiculous. Instead of fighting to keep favor for our country we strike and not let others play.
I'm canadian so i dont care which server im at, i always get ppl puttin me down cuz im canadian.

As for the batteries it is nice to have one for a monk in difficult battles where they have to spam heals. Ele's definately don't need them cause they got dual attunements anyways...if an ele needs one then they are playing the game wrong.
Not quite true: an single ele in an 8 player team might need battery. If you have you skills well organized as a sole nuker, you can nuke like a machine, without pause and get low on energy.

Don't bring up the well known line of Glyps and stuff. If you never been in the situation as an emo where you desperatly wanted that extra energy regen to cast somethin asap that would annihilate the remaining monsters you should play more.

Dual attunments heh? ever hear of exhaust?

Why are the monks on strike? Because we don't pay them to help us at THK? Mhenlo is a more competent monk than most of the wannabe "show runners" that plague GW.

Is that "n00b warrior" making you mad? Sorry buddy, there are just as many ''noobie" monks as there are warriors. Maybe if you showed respect and helped someone that wasn't as "leet" as you are, people would possibly show respect back, which right now, you don't really deserve at all. Alot of monks can dish crap out, but when they are in they start to get a little bit of flak, they all of a sudden pull the stunt where they make a thread that sounds like they are trying to start some sort of revolution, or, to put it simply, whine and snivel about how they "work" so hard and aren't getting enough "respect" (<---funny) from the other 5 classes.

Go choke.

it'd be a lot of fun - and I'd get a lot of satisfaction seeing w/mo's hoping to join the party and being denied.

hum exhaust, why would i have two skills that would cause exhaustion on me? I wouldn't because that would hurt my team in a long drawn out battle. I only need the one meteor shower not the echoed one or the one from GoR. Far to many times i see people drop 2 or even three to disperse a crowd so the battle drags on even longer then necessary. if you know how to nuke properly then with dual attunements you won't run out of energy. just be smart as to who your using the high energy spells on. I have beat the game with my ele and often times am the sole ele in the latter missions, so yes i do know how to nuke or spike without needing Blood Ritual. Perhaps it is you who needs to play more as an e/mo.

This whole thing leaves me wondering just one thing - What are people doing with their other 3 character slots? It's as if the striking Monks play only a Monk and nothing else! (That goes for many other classes as well.)

There are bad players in EVERY profession and Combo - but I don't think there's as many as people make it out to be. And there are players who make mistakes along the way - including myself. But if a person LEARNS from their mistakes, there should be no problem.

You want to know if a W/Mo is any good? Ask them if they're bringing Frenzy. If they are, I'd be very, very leery about them. IMHO, it's a piece of crap skill and I NEVER use it. You give out 33% more damage, but take 100% more - no thank you!

And shame on the Monks who think that a Warriors job is to just stand there and take a beating. There are situations where a Warrior needs to be a tank, like in Tombs (hard to hit anything when you're constantly blind, which I don't pester the monks about, as it's a waste of energy to remove it - LOL), and there are times when he should be a damage dealer, BUT they should always carry some defensive skills.

But the ovewhelming thing to me is the total ignorance about the capabilities of a Mesmer! Everyone's got this idea that Mesmers only have 2 skills - backfire & empathy. If Ignorance was bliss, then today THK is Euphoria!

As for the 8/8 monk group that beat THK, What secondaries did everyone have? How many secondary skills were used? Nobody seems curious about that at all. I don't really care, because to me beating THK with all henchies would be tougher to do.

what's the big deal with THK anyways? I've beaten it all but once in 4 or 5 tries. Just have 2 people man the catapults and keep pulling the lever. the other 6 can kill the rest.

try it - THK with all hench is actually pretty easy as long as you stay near the king.

5 classes deal dmg
1 class heals those 5, and then.. only two of it's attribute lines can do so

Protection/Healing are more important to the generic 4/6/8 man build than any others.

You can do without a warrior sometimes, you can do without a mesmer.. but how often can you so easily do without a monk?

The most true statement in this thread.

The most untrue statement in this thread (not counting opinions and such). It's 50% more damage. Double damage on a Warrior isn't that big of a deal anyway because Warriors don't generally take much damage except against spikes, in high-level areas, and when you're already screwed.

I find it quite amusing that all of the people that complain about the 'monk strike' and saying it is childish or don't understand it do not also have Mo/ listed under their characters.

Yes, no doubt every class hates it when a lot of agro is collected. But it's not the wammo or tanking ele that gets the /blame/. Good players know this. But good players aren't that likely to have monk problems. The problem is we're frequently treat like henchmen, even if not by 'you', and that's exemplified by the line of thinking that we won't "let" you play. It's our own damned business and one day of amusement for 300 others we got flamed on for doing our level best to keep people alive from a situation they themselves created.

Never forget monks need a team as much as a team 'needs' monks. Today you can use henchmen. Tomorrow we'll be back in teams getting flamed at for wanting to help people.

Obviously you havent read the all thread, alot of ppl here has a monk but don't care for the strike.

Has for being on team, after this bs from monks, i dont want any random monks in my group. Especially after seeing that some even join teams today to ragequit or make them lose. Hopefully, others will see has i see.

Also, i had a monk, i was bad at it so i quit. No point in trying to help if i couldnt do the job and you don't see me complaining on how ppl were rude to me. At least i admited to be a bad healer. I can play other professions very good.

Funny, I tried for an entire Saturday passing that mission with real people. I gave up and used henchies, and finally passed the mission with all of my characters. Kinda sad actually...

I love the strike, Monks do reserve more respect because there is very few, when they have no energy left, they cant heal, warriors curse em out.....

....^^^^^
^^i love it^^
....^^^^^^

WAY 2 MANY PEOPLE ARE WARRIORS. not all warriors but probally 7/8 of warriors are stuck-up or Nubs, there the reason why monks do this.
