Honeycomb Quest?!

Hey! First of all I'm quite new to the Forum and Guildwars....just played my first BWE and I'm already soo addicted to the game, now I just have to wait for the release and my adventures in this beautiful MMORPG will begin! But when I played the BWE one quest really annoyed me and bothered the hell out of me, I tried it for hours and kinda wasted my time with it but I just didn't wanna give up till I went to PvP till i kinda calmed down again xD Maybe you guys remember it...it starts in Old Ascalon (I think...the city where you start), you talk to a guy close to the gate and the quest begins, he tells ya that he needs help and wants you to tell one of his friends in a different village...if you can call it a village. Well after finding this guy he told me he'd help if I helped him by luring 3 bee-swarms over a bridge with a honeycomb....but wtf?? I never even found ONE swarm! Maybe a bug or did I just miss something?? I by myself like PvE and PvP the most but in PvE I always wanna do as many quests as I can....and next time I wanna finish it but don't know how -_- Got help for me??

Hey, i didn''t do that particular quest, but I saw that giant honeycomb. Are there lots of quests like that?

I wish I knew...after this quest pissed me off I couldn't be arsed to try another ones since stubborn me wants to finish stuff before he starts others :P But GW got sweet quests...I liked this quest where you had to find a beautiful present for a beautiful girl (cant remember her name...), after exploring the area for a while and giving the guy 3 different loots I found he finally got happy about the Beautiful Pearl...xD

It is was a pearl? Ahh, lol. Why was the flower not enough? WHY?

I gave him a Flower and a feather till I actually found the pearl....but actually....what'd you prefer? A flower, a feather or a PEARL? XD

Thanks to Davion, I completed it. I was extremely frustrated also. You have to pick up the honeycomb and wade into the water (kill the skates first, they are a pain) and wait until you see small shadows in the water (the swarms) darting around. Two will appear rather quickly, but the third takes a bit more patience. Once you have the two, go back up on shore then wade over near the waterwheel of the mill, and the third swarm shadow will appear. Go over the bridge and drop the honeycomb. Takes about 5 minutes.

Regarding the beautiful gift, I gave the Prince the pearl and he said it wasn't good enough, so I never completed it. Guess I needed to polish it.

Hehehe....yeah I think that the honeycomb quest from Miller Upton was bugged in some way. I had to teleport back to Ascalon and start again to finish and a friend of mine had to run all over Ashford to get the swarms to follow over to the bridge.

And the gifts for Althea quest requires three items....took me a while to find the pass through the hill and the treasure chest there.

While I cannot remember exactly how many there are.....yes there are more quests like that.

Edit: While that may have worked for you Phineas, all I did was pick it up and walk over to the bridge. 8-S

Oh thanks alot! This quest was really pissing me off + he didn't even tell you where to find them...did you atleast get a sweet reward for it?? Like something rare? I mean just for getting on your nervs it should be a huge reward Probably 250XP tho......am I right?

The 3 locations are:

1. The Flower: Located in the little mountain-pass just north-east from the entrance to Ascalon...some bandits are around there bugging ya with their firespells and rods.
2. The Feather: In Ashford, you should be able to see it from farer away...since it's a quest item the name will pop-up even before you're in range!
3. The Pearl: I can't remember for 100% but I think it's more or less close to the waterwhell in Ashford, just follow the water a bit and you should find it too

THe Quest-Rewards nothing special tho...I think 250XP

Interesting......when I did the quest it was a "beautiful pendant" that was found in the chest. Yeah the pearl was near the wheel.

Ahhh I think this weird flowers you can give to Gwen annoyed me....sry , my mistake ^_^;;

This is all i gave him as well. i got the q and the exp from only the pendant.
